1971

The first Puma would be delivered to the RAF in 1971.

1972

Behind the controls of a Lama, Jean Boulet reached an altitude of 12,442 metres on 21 June 1972.

1982

Of the 130 orders received when the helicopter was launched in February 1982, half came from US customers.

1984

MBB Helicopter Canada Limited Airbus Helicopter Canada Limited s original name was founded in Fort Erie, Ontario in 1984.

1985

Considering the success of the Bo105, MBB worked from 1985 on the development of its successor.

When the Chinese purchased 13 machines, the country started to manufacture copies of the Super Frelon known as the Zhi 8 beginning in 1985.

1988

Known as the Oryx, the aircraft first entered service in 1988.

1992

In 1992, DASA of Germany and A rospatiale merged to form Eurocopter AHC would become American Eurocopter.

1994

One year later, Eurocopter was created, taking advantage of the promising technology of the ex-Helicopter Division of Aerospatiale, such as the Fenestron . The result was the EC135, the first joint Eurocopter helicopter, which performed its maiden flight on 15 February 1994.

MBB announced the series production of the Bo108 with certification scheduled for 1994.

1995

AISA later joined CASA in 1995.

2000

Founded in 2000 and a pioneer in Level D simulators, Helisim operates high-end rotary-wing simulation in which all possible emergency situations can be replicated.

2004

From December 2004, Eurocopter International Pacific will deliver 22 Tiger ARHs.

2005

France and China launched their cooperation on EC175 AC352 in 2005, benefitting from 40 years of close ties between the partners on previous rotorcraft projects.

2014

The company was renamed Airbus Helicopters, Inc. on January 2, 2014.

Airbus Helicopters new-generation EC175 is now also a part of the oil and gas global fleet, as it began operations in the North Sea following the first delivery to NHV in December 2014.

In 2014, the EADS group was rebranded as Airbus . Uniting all its activities under a single and strong brand, Eurocopter became Airbus Helicopters.

2016

CMIFL announces it intent to acquire 100 Airbus Helicopters Ecureuil-series rotorcraft over five years, with the initial order of 10 units to be delivered in 2016.

2017

Airbus Commercial Aircraft positioned for the future 2017.

2018

19 June Airbus Helicopters begins autonomous flight trials of a VSR700 Optionally Piloted Vehicle OPV demonstrator, paving the way for a first flight of the actual VSR700 prototype in 2018.

Maintaining commercial aircraft market leadership 2018.

2019

Exhibited for the first time at the Heli-Expo 2019 show in Atlanta, Georgia USA, this latest upgrade brings an innovative new five-bladed rotor to the multi-mission H145, increasing the helicopter s useful load by 150 kg.
