Carley is seeking to hire an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III to perform complex maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs on aircraft systems and related equipment to support training system operations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AT CARLEY:
The Aircraft Mechanic III maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. This includes servicing flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and other mechanical components while applying technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to diagnose and correct malfunctions. The mechanic interprets technical data such as blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to resolve complex problems and restore systems to operational condition. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, sheet metal repair, structural modification, and basic electrical system functionality. The Aircraft Mechanic III utilizes specialized tools including test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and sheet metal fabrication tools, and provides expert technical guidance as needed to support safe and effective maintenance operations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED; an Associate's degree in aviation maintenance or a related field - PREFERRED
Minimum of five (5) years of aircraftmaintenance experience - REQUIRED
Advanced knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems - REQUIRED
Proficiency with diagnostic and test equipment, as well as a strong understanding of maintenance documentation - REQUIRED
Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical data including blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals - REQUIRED
Experience working with military aircraft platforms is highly desirable.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance - REQUIRED
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving maintenance conditions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.
Ability to work flexible schedules or support deployment-related requirements when necessary - REQUIRED
U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
Ability to report onsite as required by the program.

Ensures the maintenance area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
Provides timely and accurate information on aircraft status. Communicates accurately to Maintenance Control the status of aircraft serviceability and readiness.
Trains and assists mechanics in proper procedures, methods and practices to be followed in each respective duty. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of the OJT program.
Guides the mechanics in the handling and operation of shop equipment, ground equipment, vehicles, fuel dispensing equipment and tools to assure equipment is used safely and kept in serviceable condition.
Ensures all departmental internal company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, manual revision compliance, etc. is completed accurately. Monitors and updates timekeeping and payroll entry on a timely basis.
Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
Provides technical leadership to team and department members. Leads through example; Monitors, influences and trains others. Position Requirements:
This position requires at least four years of experience working on aircraft, aerospace structures or composites with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The candidate will receive limited supervision with detailed instructions for routine work, new activities or special assignments. Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 4-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production (or similar)

Communicates with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) with aircraft status

Physical Demands: Strenuous lifting and pulling fuel hoses (75-80 lbs.).Climbing and standing on step ladders while connecting fueling hoses overhead. Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
Work Environment: Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.

Job Summary: Teaches the basic principles and concepts of Facility Maintenance skills to students.
Duties:
Develops and implements CTT program in compliance with approved Course Guides and Training Achievement Records. Provide instruction and remedial training support that will enable students to overcome barriers in obtaining industry certifications or participating in Advanced Training (AT), Apprenticeships or Advanced Career Training (ACT).
Provide contextual learning opportunities for students to improve academic skills in the CTT learning environment.
Collaborate in developing lessons, activities, and other instructional supports to ensure that industry certification requirements are addressed in the academic and career technical settings.
Tailors instructional methods and expected rates of progress to the learning styles, abilities, and career goals of individual students.
Deliver training in the context of projects or workplace situations, using workplace materials and employer and Workforce Council input whenever possible.
Incorporate work-based learning (WBL) as a primary instructional approach to the delivery of applied and contextual training.
Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of current industry skills, safety, and health requirements.
Remain current and knowledgeable regarding available industry certifications, prerequisites, and examination requirements.
Updates eTARs on a weekly basis to credit student skill attainment.
Recommends curriculum materials aligned with course completion and certification requirements.
Fully support the functioning of the Center Workforce Council, and the center's business and community activities, including the Community Relations Council, to improve the quality of career technical training programs and creating meaningful linkages with individual employers, labor and business organizations, One- Stop centers/partners, state and local Workforce Development Boards and youth standing committees, where established.
Works closely with the Center Director's designee for disability issues to ensure that students with disabilities who are interested assigned trade is provided reasonable accommodations/modifications, if needed, to perform the trade-related skills required by the Training Achievement Records (TARs).
Works towards meeting performance management goals established by the company and the National Director of Job Corps via OMS and CTT Report Cards.
Work closely with the designated Center Safety Officer, and the Health and Wellness Manager on all matters concerning the health and safety of students.
Ensures students are taught the importance of attaining and applying the career success and applied academic standards listed in CTT TAR.
Develop year-round job-shadowing opportunities with community, industry, and employers, which will enhance students' education and career technical skills training.
Provide students with periodic feedback and assessments of progress in achieving their career development goals. (ESP)
Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, company and center policies and procedures.
Monitors, Mentors, and Models Career Success Standards and Employability Skills.
Intervene and correct inappropriate student behavior and nonperformance.
Complies with all state regulations related to testing and certification.
Maintains building and equipment and ensures proper measures are taken for the care of equipment and supplies.
Participates in PRH mandated staff training and performs other duties as assigned (e.g. monitoring, assessment, transportation, etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned within the individual's scope and capabilities.
Requirements
