PRIMARY FUNCTION
The AircraftMechanic - AH-64 performs field and sustainment-level maintenance on AH-64D/E Apache helicopters to ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and mission-ready. This role includes inspections, troubleshooting, and complex repairs on structural, engine, flight control, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems. The AircraftMechanic will also provide guidance to junior technicians and ensure all work is documented in compliance with applicable standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AH-64D/E helicopters.
Inspect, repair, and modify structural, engine, flight control, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and avionics issues using manuals and test equipment.
Operate and maintain specialized tools including torque wrenches, cable tensiometers, micrometers, and diagnostic equipment.
Conduct functional checks, engine run-ups, and taxi operations when required.
Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with military and FAA standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and technicians.
Perform corrosion control, preservation, and touch-up painting.
Support ground support equipment maintenance and aircraft recovery operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum of 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
AH-64D/E Apache helicopter maintenance experience (any timeframe).
Must be re-hire eligible if previously employed at Fort Rucker.
Preferred:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (not required).
PAY & BENEFITS
Base Pay: $33.10/hour.
Shift Differentials: +$1/hr (2nd shift), +$1.50/hr (3rd shift), +$3/hr (odd work weeks such as Thursday-Monday).
Certification Pay: +$1.50/hr for A&P certification; $1/run for APU runs.

In your role as a Warehouse Aircraft Technical Inspector, you will serve as team member responsible for assessing the serviceability and condition of various aviation components IAW Army Regulations, Technical Manuals, policies, and procedures. Position Scope:
The Mechanical Reliability Leader is the lead mechanical reliability position in the facility and manages the mechanical reliability organization and its efforts across the entire mill. Riverdale Mill, located in Selma AL, is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two machines, one producing Brite Top liner and one producing uncoated free sheet. In addition to the machines, the mill includes multiple process lines, including wood handling, pulping, power and recovery, sheeting operations and effluent treatment. The MRL is responsible for developing a team of highly skilled reliability engineers and hourly reliability technicians tasked with successfully executing all reliability elements, including the RCFA process, preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM), mechanical (MPM), lubrication excellence, and world class MWS processes, among others. The MRL is also responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics, communicating those metrics to the mill team, and using a data based approach to develop reliability strategies to ensure the mill performs at world class reliability levels. Finally, this position ensures alignment with company reliability programs, and also the implementation of new or improved reliability systems to ensure all progress is sustained. This position reports to the Maintenance Improve Manager and has approximately 10 salaried and 15 hourly reliability technicians within the organization.

About the Role:
As a Plant Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that heavy machinery operates efficiently and safely around prep plants and surface areas that support production and related processes. The Plant Mechanic will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in diesel and gasoline engines.
Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of heavy machinery.
Repairing faulty components of equipment
Testing and inspecting equipment and systems to ensure proper performance.
Maintaining maintenance records for preventive maintenance as well as component life expectancy.
Ordering and maintaining parts inventory.
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping trash picked up and practicing good housekeeping standards in work areas.
May be required to operate equipment on a temporary basis.
Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
Who You are:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in with troubleshooting software such as CAT ET, CAT SIS and Cummins Insite)
Maintain good punctuality and attendance.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a mining environment.

Environment and Safety
Ensure adherence to State, Federal and Company workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.

Attend and participate in all scheduled safety meetings and training.

Physical Requirements - Mining Operations:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on uneven, rocky surfaces.
Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
Must be able to walk for up to 4 hours at a time.
Will need to walk through different sections of the mine with different amounts of clearance and headroom.
Walking ability will be based on SCSR emergency evacuation plan required and approved by MSHA.
Must be able to wear the required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA.
Must be able to bend or stoop for a full work period because of varying work heights.
Must be able to climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.
Must be able to do repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have quick reflex movements of the arms and legs as well as good hand to eye coordination.
Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs in compliance with FAA-approved data and industry standards of good workmanship.

Accurately record all maintenance actions on company and FAA documentation.
Use appropriate tools and ensure they are properly serviced and calibrated.
Read, understand, and apply technical data and maintenance manuals.

Follow all required safety precautions including PPE use, fall protection, and handling of chemicals or rotating equipment.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Training in Airframe and Powerplant maintenance, with emphasis on structures and composites.
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
5-10 years of general aviation maintenance experience.
Prior avionics experience required.
Familiarity with turboprop aircraft preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency required (Spanish is a plus).

Must use tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal shop, such as protractors, calipers, pitch gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, gas and heli-arc welding machines, lathes, milling machines, saws and drilling presses. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings.
