PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Cleans assemblies by deburring or scuffing surfaces or removing metal shavings by using acetones of surfaces and/or by applying glue according to specific FES requirements. Identifies and selects subassembly parts and hand or power tools prior to assembly; and verifies parts, hardware, & lengths information are accurate to MES requirements. Layouts and marks reference points and locations for building/assembling or installation of parts or components according to specifications of FES and CATIA / 3DX using jigs, templates, or measuring and marking instruments. Reads and follows MES, FES, F-Standards, charts, diagrams, work order, and/or CATIA /3DX to determine assembly instructions. Records and maintains daily production data according to work order, FPS and FES guidelines; and enters information such as rivet types, part substitutions, or glues into the Shop Notes of MES. Submits assembled parts to quality control for final inspection checks according to engineering specifications (F-Standards, CATIA / 3DX, and FES). Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety signs, policies, and procedures, and by wearing personal protective equipment. Prepares and makes labels to identify parts, part number and work order (FOOs) using ID machine, label maker, and/or printer; or writes specific label information onto specific parts, such as toilets; & places label printout into a bag with the part kit. Reviews work order and texts or shop notes by accessing MES to identify and verify parts, quantity, order number, and information within parts kit. Cleans work station areas to remove debris using the 5 S standards and cleaning agents such as Lysol, cloths, brooms, etc. Uses MES to locate orders, clocking, shop notes, entering data in text boxes, and locate parts list and specifications. Verifies parts, hardware and size information are accurate with requirements. Applies rivets, screws, or bolts to subassemblies according to engineering specifications; and ensures that gaps are minimized and rivets, screws, or bolts are flushed to the surfaces as required. Identify parts per standard NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Maintains a clean and organized work area. Completes tasks within assigned work times. Determines work to be accomplished to complete assignments within established schedules and plans accordingly. Accurately logs computerized labor data collection for time and attendance tracking. Assists other personnel on specific job assignments. Sets up and operates standard shop equipment. Conceives and manufactures shop aid tools, as necessary, to improve repetitiveness and cost with approval of management. All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Able to set up and operate all standard shop equipment. Comply with all safety requirements per company policy.
