JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all rides and attractions. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision. To keep a ride parts inventory and notify the supervisor and A Mechanics of any parts or materials necessary to insure safe, continuous operation. To direct, advise and/or work in conjunction with other staff solving ride-related problems. To ensure that the ride is clean and visually in compliance with manufacturers specifications, guests and Darien Lake expectations. To ensure that manufacturer specifications and state regulations are complied with and documented. To inspect rides and attractions and notify the Rides A Mechanic, Ride Maintenance Supervisor and/or Ride Maintenance Manager of any hazards that may endanger the general public of Darien Lake staff. Keep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion. (i.e. Logbooks, Inspection Forms, etc.) Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake. Maintain good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility. Qualifications Possess the ability to work at heights above 208' above grade. Must have basic knowledge and experience of mechanics, gear reduction, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity. Credit for non-fleet type Aircraft ERT Qualifications, Training, specialized skills or equivalent desirable experience will be at the Hiring /Review Mangers discretion ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Training/Ability to operate Forklift Training/ Ability to operate Ground Support Equipment Training/ Ability to operate PIV Training/ Ability on Shop Equipment Training/ Ability to Balance Stater/Generator Training/ Ability to Perform Final Ground Runs Training/Ability to use Rads for MIR & T/R Track & Balance PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Foster the Flexjet culture while embracing the company fundamental principles Adhere to Flexjet policies and procedures Gain efficiency in performing assigned duties in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations Perform quality inspections, repairs, component replacement and apply corrective actions to maintain the airworthiness of the helicopter Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations Ability to sign off logbook, record component entries and document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual Operate ground support equipment including, but not limited to jacks, nitrogen and air conditioning servicing carts Support with simple to complex repairs at on-site & off-site location Support with performing engine runs for system operations and troubleshooting Support with fueling or defueling helicopters as needed KNOWLEDGE SKILLS: Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams and manuals Basic knowledge of avionics systems or aircraft systems Ability to understand and properly use manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), General Operations Manual (GOM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual, and Systems Manual Basic skill to assemble helicopter parts and components Skill to use calibrated, hand and specialized tools necessary to perform job Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job Skill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function Skill to apply sealing compounds REQUIRED SKILLS Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints Must have the ability to multi-task within a team environment Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs Possess proven inspection competencies Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude Specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company Ability to pass background check for airport security badge WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
