Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. JOB RESPONSIBLITIES * Visually inspect composite components (wings, fuselages, control surfaces, fairings, interior components) for defects, damage, or corrosion. * Determines when a component should be repaired or replaced; decides upon necessary repair scheme, quantity and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair; secures necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies. * Perform structural and cosmetic repairs using pre-preg or wet layup, honeycomb, carbon, and fiberglass materials utilizing vacuum bagging, hot bond, or room temperature curing. * Trim, sand, drill, fit, and assemble composite parts using templates, hand tools, and specialized equipment. * Interpret engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), blueprints, and maintenance manuals. * Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective components, making alterations or changes to units when necessary. * Follows approved maintenance procedures for subject component or system, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturer's (OEM's) technical data, and work package instructions. * Consults the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process. * Inspects completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework; performs rework; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances. * Performs serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer. * Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations. * Submits completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review; submits to Quality Control for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness. * Provides Manager with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested. * Properly accounts for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities. * Comply with repair station procedures (RSM /QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing aircraft or component maintenance.     Required Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience to include 2 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required. Valid Driver's License required. Position Purpose: Under minimal supervision, performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Communicate as required to receive and understand work assignments. Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision. . 2. Coordinate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Additional Functions: 1. Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered. . 2. Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility. . 3. Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use. . 4. Comply with safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required and be alert for unsafe conditions.
