By executing maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards, you are ensuring safe and reliable flights. Job Responsibilities * Will perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the responsibility for work performed by themselves and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the Company's approved forms. * Keep work areas clean. Return all equipment and tools to assigned areas. A&P Technicians will report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic in charge. * Work will consist of and include any and all phases of repair and maintenance of aircraft with the aid of the employee's own tools, specialty tools provided by the Company, the use of test equipment, and Company-supplied technical manuals. * In certain cases, and A&P Technician may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs. * Will at the commencement of each repair or inspection initiate the proper documentation. Parts tags will include a complete description of the discrepancy on all removed parts. Determine if the work to be performed is a Required Inspection Item. * Verifying, through proper documentation, that any part installed on any aircraft or component is approved for that aircraft or component and has been visually inspected and is free of damage or contamination. * Assure that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner. * Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic.     The USMC MQ-9 CLS Mechanic is a highly qualified and skilled aircraft/composite mechanic with experience in structures, hydraulics, engines and avionics using diagrams, blueprints, and publications. The mechanic will directly support the USMC MQ-9 Site Manager while at the same time being available to support hands-on maintenance and leadership/training on an as needed basis. Essential Responsibilities: Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc. Diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct breaks. Test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices. Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft. Adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories. Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies. Recommend revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship. Minimum Qualifications: Must have at least an active Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Must have High School Diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the A Technician will be responsible for diagnostics related to a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles. * Maintenance and repair of all aspects of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles and equipment. * Support of coworkers in working safely and efficiently in the maintenance and repair of fleet of vehicles and equipment. * Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner. * Follows all safety policies and procedures * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. * Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. * Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. * Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals. * Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. * Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability. QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to provide Drive Train Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair * Ability to provide General Engine Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair * Ability to provide Transmission Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair * Ability to Perform Outside Repair Inspection Review * Ability to Assess Structural Damage and assign needed repairs * Ability to Provide assistance, guidance and direction to all shop technicians * CDL Class B preferred or the ability to obtain a CDL license * Ability to obtain 7 ASE Certifications or equivalent within 36 months * 3-5 years of hands on technical experience in the maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles and equipment. Preferably with waste/recycling industry experience * Clear understanding of OSHA safety requirements for vehicle fleets Ability to utilize computers for data tracking, communication etc. (dossier, Microsoft office). OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned. * Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro. * Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
