What to expect:
The Lead Facilities Mechanic will be responsible for a wide range of facility maintenance tasks to support operational excellence. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. Key duties include:
Facility Maintenance:
* Support clean room manufacturing operations to ensure smooth functioning of critical facilities infrastructure servicing production lines.
* Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, systems furniture modifications, light HVAC and electrical troubleshooting, and small plumbing repairs.
* Assist with internal and external facility moves and relocations.
* Maintain organization and inventory of facility materials and maintenance equipment using maintenance management systems.
Preventive Maintenance:
* Perform maintenance services through Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order (WO) programs, ensuring accurate documentation of completed tasks.
Contractor Coordination:
* Supervise and coordinate contracted services, including cafeteria, housekeeping, pest control, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, life safety and other facility-related vendors.
Multi-Facility Support:
* Provide maintenance support across multiple facilities when required.
* Coordinate building maintenance activities conducted by landlords or Hologic-affiliated contractors (e.g., generator, HVAC, compressor maintenance).
* On call rotational support as needed.
Customer Service:
* Provide proactive wide-ranging support for softer office service activities like company functions, managing employee moves, enhancing the cafeteria experience, and with urgency levels adjusted as needed.
* Maintain an understanding of Hologic's business functions to strengthen internal partnerships and ensure awareness of how we can provide additional value to Hologic and our stakeholders.
Safety, Compliance, and Sustainability:
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality System Regulations (QSRs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
* Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities, including weekly and monthly maintenance tasks.
* Support Sustainability Initiatives and goals to reduce carbon footprint.

High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math abilities.
5+ years of VIP aircraft interiors experience or combination of training / education and experience.
Solid understanding of aircraft interior component removals and installations, upholstery, cabinetry, carpeting, finishes and paint.
Proficient in the use of basic hand tools and equipment.
Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read, write, and understand the English language.
Read, analyze, and interpret complex regulatory documents, technical documents, engineering drawings, regulations, procedures and manuals
