Job purpose Alpine Air is currently seeking full time A&P Mechanics to join the crew at the Denver, Colorado airport. Candidates must meet our high standard of excellence for safety, resource management skills, and customer relations. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude. Duties and responsibilities The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
Preventative maintenance of aircraft
Line maintenance and repair
Scheduled inspection of aircraft
Replacing worn or damaged components, including turbine engine changes
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, including repairs involving aircraft sheet metal
Qualifications Qualifications include:
Must have A & P License
Must have 3 years' experience as an A&P, with recent turboprop aircraft
Preference given to Beech 1900 or King Air experience
Knowledgeable of basic fixed wing aircraft maintenance
Ability to locate and follow maintenance manual directions and component manuals
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work for this position is performed outside, regardless of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Maintenance Technicians are responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor and shall assure that the procedure outlined in this manual as well as all FAA Regulations and manufacturer's instructions are complied with. In addition, component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the AMT. The AMT is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all repairs are accomplished by approved methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in the service manuals, the Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives and other data approved by the FAA administrator.
Responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of their shop or area, so as to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
Ensure that all work accomplished will be completed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43.
Exercise all reasonable care to protect all parts- sub assembles; major assembles and completed units against loss or damage.
Ensure that all applicable repair station forms utilized are properly completed.
Ensure good housekeeping rules are observed and that all shop-working areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.
Ensure that proper tools and equipment are available, and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition and ensure that any tool which is found unserviceable for any reason will be removed from service. He will be responsible for good housekeeping and will ensure that housing and facilities and safety precautions are adequate.
Ensure proper handling of parts and the preservation of all units or parts during the work process through the maintenance department.
Required to be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the repair station manual, FAA Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Advisory Circulars, Manufactures Service Letters/Bulletins and engineering orders.
Communicates with the maintenance lead technicians concerning progress of the assigned work.
Perform airframe and powerplant repairs, inspections and modifications.
Removal and disassembly of defective parts, assembly and installation of replacement parts and testing of system.
Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.
Ensure that all discrepancies are signed off with all the information completed, such as part numbers, maintenance manual, ATA and Chapter, etc.
Displays and promotes a positive attitude toward work and other employees.
Use experience and technical expertise to assist when necessary to meet completion and production schedules and produce the quality our company has come to expect.
