We're hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Air Evac Lifeteam. This technician will be qualified to support our airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Two (2) years turbine powered helicopter experience
Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid State issued Driver's License
Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.

Inspect repairs of unsafe flight discrepancies and malfunctions and certify the airworthiness of the aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
Remove, replace, install, rig, calibrate, and test components to ensure proper operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment used to repair and maintain aircraft.
Perform major and minor repair, overhaul, and alteration of aircraft airframe, powerplant, propeller, and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer maintenance manuals and FAA regulations and return the aircraft to service in a safe and reliable condition.
Test repaired systems for proper operation.
Input relative data into a computerized maintenance tracking system.
Maintain maintenance logs and records as required by FAA regulations and internal policies.
Review maintenance records for trends of problems and reliability of systems.
Inventory, requisition, and maintain supplies and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance and repairs.
Schedule preventive maintenance checks to ensure maximum in commission status.
Maintain a current listing of FAA regulations, technical manuals, and flight safety bulletins.

Aircraft Mechanic III (23023): Leads a team in the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance. A Day In The Life of an A&P Mechanic
The position you are applying for will be under general supervision. You are responsible for the maintenance, modification, and servicing of aircraft and aircraft components following the manufacturer's specification and FARS.
Essential Duties of The A&P Mechanic
Perform routine scheduled maintenance and aircraft inspection by ACC's and current manufacturers' specifications.
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Modifies aircraft systems or components following drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.

Aircraft Mechanic II (23022): Aircraft Mechanics II must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Additionally provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines. An Aircraft Mechanic II shall be the equivalent of a Marine Corps Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative.

Mechanic II Functions: The Contractor Aircraft Mechanic II, in addition to the specified corrosion functions and tasks, shall be trained and qualified as Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representatives (CDQAR) in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program 4790 and all local and command requirements. The Contractors qualified as Mechanic IIs shall serve within work centers 120 (Airframes). They shall be responsible for performing maintenance in their respective qualifications as a Mechanic II CDQAR.
Skill and Knowledge: Shall have the ability to troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems and be able to perform general Organizational Level maintenance and possess one or more of the specialties of the assigned aircraft below:
Airframe/Structural, Landing Gear, Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Mechanical Flight Control Systems, and related Sub-Systems, and Aircraft Logs and Records Administration
Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, NAMP programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
Aircraft Mechanic II shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and exhibit leadership and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of aircraft maintenance.
Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.
Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.
Working understanding of the aircraft and aircraft systems
Responsibility: Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established in the PWS.
