PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Aircraft Structural Mechanic is responsible for assessing aircraft damage and draft repair procedures to aircraft structural and composite components. Must be able to utilize advanced metalworking practices and techniques to form, cut, bend, and fasten new / repair components to damaged structures. Must be proficient in close tolerance drilling/reaming for installation of high-strength fasteners. Able to use powered / non-powered metalworking tooling and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Inspect / assess damage to aircraft structural components and formulate proper repair/replacement procedures utilizing applicable technical data.
Remove and install close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major aircraft structural components.
Advises on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural integrity.
Performs post repair flight control weight and balance functions as well as control surface rigging per designated technical orders.
Inspect components/repairs for structural serviceability according to specifications and technical publications.
Manufactures / use jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds to fabricate repair or replacement parts.
Uses advanced metalworking practices, equipment, and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components.
Uses shop drawing and metal layout techniques; shop mathematics; corrosion identification, removal, repair, and prevention; cleaning of metals; application of protective coatings, and markings.
Closes completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems.
Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes.
Operates and maintains related aircraft Support Equipment (SE).
Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.
Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
Maintain strict tool control procedures. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
Maintain equipment records. Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily.
The Aircraft Structural Mechanic will be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Skilled in depot level processes and procedures for replacement of major structural components.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
Knowledgeable of fixed wing aircraft construction features, identification and characteristics of aerospace materials to include proper use, mixing, and storage of acids, solvents, alcohol, caustics, primers, and paints; and proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
Knowledgeable in depot fabrication / repair / replacement of metal components, tubing, cable, plastic, fiberglass, bonded honeycomb, and composite structural components.
Must be able to utilize respirator, forced air, or other breathing equipment during the performance of assigned duties.
Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.
Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
Ability to follow processes.
Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of relevant aircraft depot level structural maintenance experience with fixed / rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A753 / 2A773 highly desirable.
Multi aspect aviation qualifications / certifications / disciplines highly preferred.
Experience supporting DoD contracts.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance required.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification a plus
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Fabricate various sheet metal parts in their entirety by interpreting blueprints, calculating angles, diameters, and bend allowances, and then cutting shaping, and forming the part.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs structural aircraft repairs using appropriate sheet metal techniques and fasteners. Builds up surfaces and structures to specifications. Installs Service Bulletin kits using parts and instructions provided by O.E.M
• Plans and develops schemes for sheet metal repairs and/or modifications by utilizing blueprints, sketches, service bulletins, OEM or government specifications, engineering orders or other technical publications.
• Uses precision measuring instruments to accomplish sheet metal repairs or modifications, (i.e., micrometers, calipers, surface plates, protractors, combination squares, etc.)
• Sets up and uses sheet metal equipment such as power brakes, presses, saws, rollers, etc.
• Constructs dollies, jigs, and special tools as required.
• Documents and Signs Off on all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
• Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Aircraft Avionics Systems Technician analyzes malfunctions, inspects, removes, maintains, and installs integrated avionics systems. Performs and supervises avionics maintenance and general aircraft servicing and handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyzes equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in avionics systems, integrated test systems built-in-test (BIT), multiplexed data bus systems, recording systems, video display systems, mission computer systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and sensors.
Removes, installs, checks, and repairs avionics systems and line replaceable units (LRU).
Diagnoses malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, integrated test systems and other test equipment.
Conducts operational checks and repairs / replaces damaged components and systems.
Removes, replaces, and repairs faulty system wiring, electrical connectors, antennas, transmission lines, and multiconductor cables.
Modifies avionics systems according to technical publications.
Inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains aircraft E & E systems, subsystems, components, and associated test equipment.
Assists in T-38 aircraft jacking, lifting, mooring, and towing operations.
Updates operational logs, inspection records, aircraft forms, and automated maintenance systems.
Performs and supervises alignment, calibration, and boresight of avionics systems.
Uploads ground maintenance and operational software.
Performs off-equipment maintenance on selected avionics LRUs and maintains peculiar support equipment (SE).
Inspects and verifies operational status and configuration of avionics systems and software.
Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions.
Inspects and checks components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.
Reviews maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation.
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
Uses automated maintenance systems. Inputs, validates, and analyzes data processed to automated systems.
Inspects, clears, and closes out completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems.
Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes.
Inventories and maintains alternate mission equipment. Inventories and maintains aircraft equipment.
Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.
Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
Maintain strict tool control procedures. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
Maintain equipment records. Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Highly skilled in electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to Avionics systems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
Highly knowledgeable in interpreting and applying mechanical, wiring, and electronic circuit diagrams; electronic, micro-processor, data bus, and mechanical principles theory and application.
Knowledge of T-38 theory of flight; gyros, synchro's, indicators, memory storage devices, antennas, servomechanisms, electromechanical, optics, instruments, multiplexing, video display, and digital computer systems working principles.
Knowledgeable in Air Force Technical Order system, supply procedures, and deficiency reporting procedures.
Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
Ability to enter data accurately into databases and write routine reports and correspondence.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.
Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
6+ years of tactical Aircraft Avionics Systems experience with fixed / rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A5X3 Aircraft Avionics Systems highly desirable.
Multi aspect aviation qualifications / certifications / disciplines and ability to train these skills a must.
Experience supporting DoD contracts.
