Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew. Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members. Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, military technical manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, blueprints, manufacturers' drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components Flight Line operations/functions at detachment locations as required Confined space operations to include fuel cell entry Support Equipment (SE) operation and inspections Aircraft launch and recovery Aircraft inspections Aircraft movement Support services Corrosion Control Preservation and depreservation General aircraft maintenance Technical Directive compliance and modifications Maintain Aircraft, Engines, and SE Logbooks Perform general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment Perform shift work and/or overtime as required Prioritize workloads and lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: Seven or more years of rotary wing maintenance experience Qualified to certify MH-60 aircraft Safe-for-Flight Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (C-555-0053) Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) for Airframes, Power Plants and Electrical Systems Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) for Line, Corrosion Control and Avionics Systems Quality Assurance Safety Observer (QASO) Ammunition & Explosive handling qualifications Vibration Analysis Operator / Interpreter Tire and Wheel Hydraulic Contamination Plane Captain Landing Signal Enlisted (LSE) Basic Qualifications: Individual (I) Aircraft Maintenance Qualification Three years of rotary wing maintenance experience Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shift or as required Must be able to work flexible schedule Mon-Fri, Sun-Thur and Fri-Mon or as required Must be able to provide maintenance support for actual SAR missions within two hours of notification for weekends, holidays, and before/after normal services hours as required Shall be able to travel in support of detachment operations as required Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) Satisfactory completion of T3/T3R National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC) or Access National Agency Check with written Inquiries (ANACI) resulting in eligibility for a SECRET clearance shall be required of all employees All other FTEs requiring access to Department of Navy (DON) IT systems or access to CUI will require a Favorable T3 investigation initiated by the Government GCA per 5510.30 series and NIMPSOMs and will be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation. All personnel will be vetted through the Contracting Officer Security Representative Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft Must be able to use hand and power tools Must have dexterity to handle small parts Compensation $39.58/hour Other Compensation Employees will receive a minimum health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour paid up to 40 hours per week. After completing one year of service, employees will have two weeks paid vacation.
