Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to oversee and manage our FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration, planning, and coordination of the program, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of education and training. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the aviation maintenance industry.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School, including administration, budgeting, and staff management.
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, including Part 147 and other applicable standards.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program goals and objectives, in alignment with the school's overall mission and vision.
Collaborate with instructors and staff to continually assess and improve the curriculum, ensuring it remains up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Manage the hiring, training, and evaluation of instructors and support staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and retention.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, regulatory agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Represent the program at recruitment events, industry functions, and other public-facing engagements.
Monitor and analyze program performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting to regulatory agencies, including timely submission of required documentation and reports.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance or a related field, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, including Part 147 and other relevant standards
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred:
Master's degree in Aviation Management, Education, or a related field
Previous experience managing an FAA Part 147 program or other technical training program
Experience in accreditation processes and regulatory compliance reporting
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional technology

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
+ Performs all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.

HVAC Control Mechanic

This person will be responsible for the maintenance of all major environmental control equipment at the College. In addition, they will be responsible for the proper calibration of new heating and cooling equipment. Work hours are determined by the College and are subject to change.
