Job Description:
Join Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), F-35 Sustainment HPSI Operating Unit, has an opening for an Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics), to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. You will be assigned as a general mechanic specializing in Avionics, supporting Nose to Tail (NTT) F-35 organizational maintenance at NAS Lemoore, CA. Your Mission will be to support O-Level maintenance on F-35C.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Performs Maintenance, Repair, Launch, and Recovery activities on F-35 aircraft. Ensures aircraft are in exceptional mechanical condition and safe for flight by performing maintenance, inspections, and servicing requirements on all aircraft systems in accordance with JTD and all applicable program and service guidance.
Performs and/or assists with Field-Level Modifications and TCTD maintenance actions.
Maintains and updates aircraft records and status within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of ALIS. Keeps the production staff updated on aircraft status.
Performs required Airframe and Powerplant General (APG) tasks as part of F-35 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS).
Maintenance tasks include, but are not limited to, configuring aircraft for modifications, removal and installation of attaching hardware, component removal and installations, assistance with software uploads, various system operational checkouts.
Technical requirements also include fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repair of system failures detected during operational checks associated with maintenance and restoration of aircraft to flying condition after accomplishment of modifications and maintenance.
Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
Applicant will be required to obtain special certifications (example: confined space, borescope, etc.) as locally required.
Must be able to obtain a flightline driver's license competency card and maintain qualification throughout duration of employment.
Assists with OJT training for team members and partner aircraft maintenance personnel.
Must be willing to deploy/travel to fulfil customer's operational commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

Department Overview
The workers of Electric Transmission and Distribution (T&D) ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric T&D is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Our Maintenance Crew is tasked with the Maintenance and/or restoration of high voltage and electrical facilities within PG&E's system. They are our primary crews used for emergency restoration and are the first for call-outs.
Our General Construction (GC) Department is comprised of approximately 700 employees, tasked with the Construction and Maintenance of high voltage electrical facilities within PG&E's system. It is a mobile work force that may travel throughout PG&E's service territory to perform its work.
Position Summary
All Journey Lineworker classifications and the associated line of progression are represented by IBEW Local 1245.
This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.
We are hiring qualified Journey Lineworkers to work throughout our service territory in Distribution and Transmission, Division and General Construction positions, as well as Compliance Inspectors. Open positions are predominantly in California's Central Valley and Bay Area, however additional locations and classifications could become available at any time based on changing business needs. Please note that Transmission T-200 positions require a 2-year commitment to the Transmission Department per LOA 22-18 and T-200 and T-300 positions in De Anza, Peninsula, San Francisco and San Jose require a 3-year commitment per LOA 22-06.
This position may be subject to Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC) review and approval. Provisional hires will be required to participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level knowledge of Journey Lineworker roles and responsibilities.
Journey Lineworker are responsible for building and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers. They are expected to test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables. Our Lineworkers will have had successfully completed a federal or state sanctioned apprenticeship (with approved supporting documentation) and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Lineworkers must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.
Compliance Inspectors conduct visual inspections of electric poles and enclosures by driving and or walking the electric distribution system to identify hazards that impact safety, company liability and / or asset life, pursuant to General Order 165. Various diagnostic tests are performed during detail inspections such and infrared imaging, pole shell testing and conductor height measurements. The individual will perform, repair work on poles and substructures as required.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $73.78 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Biogas PM Mechanic performs skilled work that is necessary to maintain all anaerobic digester conditioning skids, and upgrader compressors in like new condition. The facility is composed of a digester, pumps, gas blowers, compressors, oxygen generators, condensers, chillers and related auxiliary equipment. Biogas PM Mechanic works with gas compression equipment to transfer, compress and recover different types of gases. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and assisting Biogas Compressor Technician with preventive maintenance, repairs and replacements as needed.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine, preventative maintenance, and repairs on rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and all ancillary equipment relevant to the operation of those compressors. (i.e. Motors, trailered blowers, pumps, compressors, hp washers, chillers)
Ensure all compressor preventive maintenance requirements are captured in CMMS and can be scheduled on periodic schedule. Ensure all E-maintenance work orders are completed properly and on time.
Assist with compressor troubleshooting for both high- and low-pressure compressors.
Biogas PM Mechanic responsible for the performance of maintenance PMs and routine maintenance of all assigned equipment. (i.e. greasing motors, compressor, heat exchanger bearings). Maintain lube program overall.
Assist with Install and provide maintenance on industrial sized gas and air compressors, motors, bearings, seals, pumps, dryers, chillers and other mechanical components.
Generate repair work orders that address the deficiencies in the need of correction on field equipment and components.
Align with Maintenance Planner to ensure sufficient critical spares and required consumables are maintained in the warehouse to minimize downtime.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
Performance will be assessed 90 days after initial hire, and then annually after that. Plant Operations will be measured against plant operating efficiency, uptime (reliability), and cost expectations. The successful operator will be measured against adherence to company policy and ability to drive sustained efficiency through personal effort, communication, teamwork, and ability to leverage external resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant maintenance and operating experience in an industrial or gas processing environment is desired.
Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field.
A relevant background in safety procedures/practices

* Must participate in the training and qualification of new personnel.
* Must promote communication to enhance and encourage employee awareness of accident prevention, quality of work, and environmental compliance.
* Must promote positive communication with all site departments, company management, and our customers to ensure the proper execution of our contract.
* Must participate in required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual training and ensure that it is documented in a timely manner.
* Complete initial attendance sheet on a daily basis, verifying your start time and proper accounting of all assigned PPE.
* Must be cleared and maintain clearance level required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
