Position Summary
As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician, you will impact PSA Airlines' business growth by conducting aviation repairs and services that allow for operations to be on time. By executing maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards, you are ensuring safe and reliable flights.
Job Responsibilities
* Will perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the responsibility for work performed by themselves and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the Company's approved forms.
* Keep work areas clean. Return all equipment and tools to assigned areas. A&P Technicians will report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic in charge.
* Work will consist of and include any and all phases of repair and maintenance of aircraft with the aid of the employee's own tools, specialty tools provided by the Company, the use of test equipment, and Company-supplied technical manuals.
* In certain cases, and A&P Technician may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
* Will at the commencement of each repair or inspection initiate the proper documentation. Parts tags will include a complete description of the discrepancy on all removed parts. Determine if the work to be performed is a Required Inspection Item.
* Verifying, through proper documentation, that any part installed on any aircraft or component is approved for that aircraft or component and has been visually inspected and is free of damage or contamination.
* Assure that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner.
* Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Collects, analyzes, and interprets various environmental samples to maintain compliance with environmental permits.
Assists in the preparation of data reports, adherence to and administration of a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program, and data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) computers.
Maintains records and logs in accordance with FDEP standards and prepares detailed records and reports in a timely manner.
Calibrates, adjusts, maintains and repairs as necessary all laboratory instrumentation and on-line continuous analyzers including pH, conductivity, spectrophotometers, sodium, silica, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, and others.
Performs chemical analyses using gravimetric, spectrophotometric, turbidimetric, and titrimetric methods in conformance to Standard Methods.
Assists in developing and evaluating new analytical methods. Prepares laboratory reagents, as needed, in conformance to Standard Methods, and general laboratory procedures.
Operates, controls, and troubleshoots water treatment systems such as demineralizers, reverse osmosis, and electro-deionization equipment.
Based on area of assignment, operates, controls and troubleshoots Zero-Liquid-Discharge System including Brine Concentrator, Crystallizer, and Belt Press.
Complies with information provided on Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products. Handles and stores items properly.
Observes and adheres to proper LockOut/Tag Out of plant equipment and systems in accordance with clearance procedures, policies, and practices.
Attends training courses and studies independently to learn operation and maintenance requirements of power plant laboratory facilities, equipment, and operation.
Assists in the maintenance, operator and monitoring of the Transformer Dissolved Gas Analyzers.
Completes established training objectives for craft area assigned to journey level.
Works with other power plant personnel to start up, troubleshoot, or shut down equipment for corrective or preventive maintenance.
Provides training and instruction to subordinate personnel and advises the Laboratory Supervisor of level of job knowledge, skills, and abilities of personnel in training.
Responds to emergency situations.
Ability to identify and correct unsafe states such as rushing, fatigue, frustration and complacency in own and other's work habits.
Responsible for maintaining, ordering, coordinating, accepting and offloading of chemical deliveries of bulk chemicals.
Attends work on a continuous and regular basis.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Will be required to transport, mix, handle or use hazardous materials or may be responsible for facilities or equipment carrying current, fluids or gas that could endanger the public or other employees.

Assists with training of Power Plant Trainees and other personnel as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree from an accredited institution with major course work in chemical, physical, environmental or biological sciences or a related subject with a minimum of sixteen (16) semester hours of college level chemistry or a minimum of three years directly applicable experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in one of the above disciplines is preferred.
A Master's degree from an accredited institution in one of the above disciplines may be substituted for the required experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must meet minimum Craft and Safety Training established for designated journey level program within the guidelines established in the Progression-Through-Training program. Power Plant Chemistry Technician is a “must-progress” job.

This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines.
Task Requirements:
Performs aircraft maintenance functions of the Line, Corrosion Control, Tool Room and Aircraft Organizational Level maintenance and flight testing support
Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support for assigned MH-60 aircraft
Performs inspection, disassembly, repair, servicing, TD compliance, modification, assembly, surface finish removal, corrosion control, preservation/depreservation services
Maintain aircraft and aeronautical equipment to continuously support the assigned SAR readiness posture outlined in in the activities SAR Plan and daily flight schedule.
Aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means
Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems
Use hand tools, power tools, machines, specific and general aviation test measurement and diagnostic equipment, and sets kits and outfits (SKO).
Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, military technical manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, blueprints, manufacturers' drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
Flight Line operations/functions at detachment locations as required
Confined space operations to include fuel cell entry

Preferred Qualifications:
Seven or more years of rotary wing maintenance experience
Qualified to certify MH-60 aircraft Safe-for-Flight
Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (C-555-0053)
Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) for Airframes, Power Plants and Electrical Systems

Basic Qualifications:
Individual (I) Aircraft Maintenance Qualification
Three years of rotary wing maintenance experience
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shift or as required
Must be able to work flexible schedule Mon-Fri, Sun-Thur and Fri-Mon or as required
Must be able to provide maintenance support for actual SAR missions within two hours of notification for weekends, holidays, and before/after normal services hours as required
Shall be able to travel in support of detachment operations as required
Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC)
Satisfactory completion of T3/T3R National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC) or Access National Agency Check with written Inquiries (ANACI) resulting in eligibility for a SECRET clearance shall be required of all employees
All other FTEs requiring access to Department of Navy (DON) IT systems or access to CUI will require a Favorable T3 investigation initiated by the Government GCA per 5510.30 series and NIMPSOMs and will be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation. All personnel will be vetted through the Contracting Officer Security Representative

Employees will receive a minimum health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Tactical Air is currently seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to join our Maintenance team. This position will support Tactical Air's fleet of fighter aircraft with over 75 years of combined experience in tactical aviation maintenance and more than 30 years of military adversary contract maintenance. The Maintenance staff are a dedicated team comprised of experienced, A&P-certified, and tactical aircraft mechanics, technicians, and logisticians who all work towards ensuring safe and seamless ground maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for the Aircraft Mechanic II will be professional, highly productive, disciplined, team-oriented, technically astute, and responsive to the needs of the company, colleagues, and customers. This position will report to the Senior Site Maintenance Manager, and will perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment. This position will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed.
Requirements
High School diploma/GED with at least 3-5 years of applicable work experience.
Current work experience in aircraft maintenance occupational field, preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
Experience with high performance military aircraft (F-5/T-38, F-16, F/A-18).
A&P Certification, or ability to obtain certification.
Support Equipment Operator License (Tow Tractor, N2 Servicing Trailer, and Mobile Start Unit at a minimum).
Valid state driver's license.
Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.
Desired Experience/Skills
A&P Certification.
