* Performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment and complies with 14 CFR, manufactures specifications, the GMM, Company policy and procedures as well as other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA when accomplishing maintenance.
* Performs maintenance mechanic duties in all areas inside and outside the hangar as well as at the airport terminal.
* Troubleshoots all aircraft systems. Executes maintenance work orders.
* Uses tools, equipment and test apparatus necessary to assure completion of the work in accordance with accepted industry practices. Verifies that all calibrated tooling is current on its calibration before use. Verifies materials and parts used are of a serviceable condition.
* Verifies that each part or component is effective for the aircraft on which it will be installed.
* Adheres to material handling and control procedures specified in GMM and by the equipment manufacturers. Initiates material requests.
* Evaluates the area and equipment that will be utilized to ensure that safety is not compromised before performing any maintenance action. Applies safety first at all times.
* Maintains a clean, safe working environment throughout the work shift.
* Updates Supervisor on progress of work performed. Reviews paperwork at the end of shift to ensure that all work accomplished is signed for prior to departing the maintenance facility. Assists with completion of shift turnover reports in accordance with procedures in the GMM.
* Completes all department internal company forms, maintenance records, documents, work orders, etc. including performing maintenance computer system transactions as required (MEL, DMI).
* Provides coaching and on-the-job training as directed.
* Adheres to established work schedule. Participates in shift meetings and briefings as required.
* Submits in writing any suggested changes in operational procedures that will enhance safety and cost effective aircraft maintenance.
* Accesses Company Intranet to become familiar with and utilize the GMM and aircraft manuals. Ensures part effectivity is correct per aircraft.
* Adheres to recurrent training, including required FAA AMT training, and keeps necessary licenses and certification up-to-date.
* Reads and acknowledges understanding of maintenance newsletters and Company Emails on a timely basis.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required.

As an Industrial Plant Field Service Mechanic, you will be dispatched across a territory using a fully equipped company service truck. Your mission is to proactively maintain and rapidly diagnose complex mechanical failures on Ready-Mix Plant equipment. You are not just fixing things; you are the primary technical expert responsible for maximizing production uptime.
What You'll Do:
Precision Rotating Equipment Service: Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and perform complex, precision repairs on screw conveyors, bucket elevators, mixer drums, and material pumps. Expertise includes bearing replacement, shaft alignment, belt/chain tensioning, and seal installation on rotating machinery.
Batch Plant System Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components integral to the batching process, including material gates, pneumatic actuators, air compressors, and various types of feeders and scales.
Heavy Component Rebuilds: Conduct scheduled maintenance and critical failure rebuilds on major processing equipment, including servicing agitator blades in mixers, replacing wear parts in screw conveyor troughs, and overhauling large water/slurry pumps.
Fabrication and Structural Repair: Independently perform heavy-duty field welding (SMAW and/or GMAW) to repair and reinforce structural components, including hoppers, silos, chutes, and plant framing, ensuring compliance with Vulcan's rigorous safety and quality standards.

Summary of Essential Duties:
Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments

What You'll Do:
Precision Rotating Equipment Service: Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and perform complex, precision repairs on screw conveyors, mixer drums, and material pumps. Expertise includes bearing replacement, shaft alignment, belt/chain tensioning, and seal installation on rotating machinery.
Batch Plant System Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components integral to the batching process, including material gates, pneumatic actuators, air compressors, and various types of feeders and scales.
Heavy Component Rebuilds: Conduct scheduled maintenance and critical failure rebuilds on major processing equipment, including servicing agitator blades in mixers, replacing wear parts in screw conveyor troughs, and overhauling large water/slurry pumps.

* Completes work orders in a timely manner; installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns.
* Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape.
* Performs the appropriate plant equipment inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance for both fixed and mobile equipment.
* Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment.
* Performs routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment including handling welding repairs.
* Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager.
* Prepares Plant reports as required and maintain an inventory of regularly used repair supplies or equipment.
* Assists personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
* Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
* Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
* Performs repairs as required on plant processing equipment and performs maintenance on plant grounds as required.
* Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety.
* Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment.

WHAT WE 'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or GED (required).
Field of Study Preferred: Technical certification or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
Required Work Experience: Minimum 3 years experience
* Lead a team of mechanics to ensure efficient and safe operations of quarry equipment.
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, trucks, and other quarry machinery.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues.
* Oversee major equipment repairs and ensure minimal downtime.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety protocols.
* Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment for repairs.
* Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of all equipment and machinery.
* Coordinate with quarry management on maintenance schedules and equipment needs.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
* Stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices to improve efficiency and equipment reliability

+ Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, performs repairs and modifications to aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blue prints or manufactures manuals.
+ Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of complex electrical systems.
+ Accomplishes inspections including, but not limited to preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and phase inspections.
+ Assists aircrew in preparation for flight.
+ Launches and recovers aircraft as required.
+ Performs operational checks of all aircraft systems and maintains aircraft appearance and cleanliness.
+ Operates all associated ground support equipment and uses hand tools, special tools, and fixtures applicable to aircraft.
+ Performs all tasks associated with ground movement of aircraft.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Must have a working knowledge of aircraft safety requirements and know how to operate portable firefighting equipment.
+ The ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications are required.
+ Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. **Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.**
+ Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver's license.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of four years' working knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations is preferred.
+ Recent experience on the UH-1N, Bell 212 or UH-1 is preferred.
+ An FAA Airframe Certificate is highly preferred.
