OVERVIEW/DUTIES/DESCRIPTION
Performs/supervises repair & reclamation and maintenance support functions
Performs end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight, thru-flight, and phase inspections
Detects and advises on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft, removed components and related aerospace equipment
Uses technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems
Interprets/advises on maintenance procedures/policies to repair aircraft, parts and equipment
Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment
Removes, installs and operationally checks aircraft components
Maintains, rebuilds and/or overhauls aircraft components according to technical data
Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems
Supervises and performs aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations

Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
At least 1 year of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience preferred
FAA issued A&P certification preferred
Able to travel
Must be able to work various shifts including some weekend shifts
Working knowledge of depot and flight line maintenance and aircraft safety directors
Able to read technical orders and use computer is required
Ability to obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X/IPI certification is preferred

Assists with the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Performs duties of a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) and ensures all maintenance is performed and inspected in accordance with the NAMP.
Requirements
Working Conditions: May be required to work in areas that are noisy, dusty, and dirty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
