Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. IPT Lead Responsibilities:• Lead a team of talented engineers through the development, integration, and test of mechanical and electrical components and subsystems. • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your given IPT to ensure compliance to all applicable performance specifications, standards, and regulations. • Collaborate cross-functionally within the business to ensure that performance, cost, and schedule targets are achieved throughout the lifecycle. • Lead recurring IPT meetings, working groups, and design reviews both internally and with the Government customer. • Review and release 3D models, 2D drawings, and reports to ensure we deliver quality products. • Review and approve technical analysis including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and other engineering tools. • Support proposal bid and execution activities including technical writing, Statements of Work (SOW), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and scheduling. • Provide technical support to manufacturing functions and Field Service Representatives (FSRs) during prototyping, production, test, and sustainment activities. • Foster development of junior engineers including interns, co-ops, and new hires. We are looking for three IPT leads, Automotive, Mobility, & Structure. Skillsets below:Auxiliary Automotive IPT Lead Responsibilities & Skillset:• Lead the auxiliary automotive IPT including seating, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, On-Vehicle Equipment (OVE), lighting, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) equipment integration. • Perform and/or oversee Human Systems Interface (HSI) analysis at the vehicle and subsystem level. • Perform and/or oversee thermal and flow simulations in ANSYS and other tools. Mobility IPT Lead Responsibilities & Skillset:• Lead the mobility IPT including powertrain, drivetrain, suspension, steering, fuel system, and water propulsion. • Perform and/or oversee powertrain performance calculations and vehicle dynamics simulations using commercial, Government, and internal software. Structure IPT Lead Responsibilities & Skillset:• Lead the structure IPT including hull, structural appendages, grilles, hatches, and armor. • Experience with weld joint design, weld symbols, etc. for multiple material types and weld processes. • Understanding of the weldability, formability, and machinability for different types of aluminum and steel alloys to balance cost, schedule, weight, and performance• Experience with the design and fabrication of tactical or combat vehicle hull structures is desired. • Perform and/or oversee structural analysis using SolidWorks Simulation and ANSYS. • Experience with live-fire testing is desired. • Active Secret clearance is desired. Qualifications Qualifications • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering. A graduate degree in engineering is desired. • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience. • Excellent leadership and communication skills to lead a team of talented engineers across multiple disciplines. • Experience leading and participating in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs). • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks (preferred), NX, CATIA, or Creo. • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) is desired. • Experience with designing machined, cast, and sheet metal parts, weldments, and bolted joints including material selection, corrosion, tolerance stack analysis, DFX, and GD&T. • Experience with FEA software including SolidWorks Simulation and/or ANSYS. • Strong problem-solving skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Automotive experience desired, ground combat vehicle experience strongly desired. • Knowledge of military vehicle systems, components, and specifications (e. g. , MIL-STD, NATO standards). • Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) is preferred. • Ability to work 40 hours/week (This position is on a 9/80 schedule)• Eligible to obtain U.
