The aircraft inspector is responsible for performing assigned inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with technical data provided by the manufacturers for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Verifies work performed on aviation articles is performed in compliance with manufacturer manuals. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for all facets of the preventive maintenance and repair of airplanes to ensure aircraft are airworthy and all technical aspects are documented properly. The position covers the night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Compensation: This is a non-exempt position compensated at $41.00 per hour for the first year of employment, consisting of a $37.00 base rate plus a $4.00 A&P license premium. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing, directing and orienting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to execute their work in accordance to task requirements and in line with the Company Repair Station procedures and requirements, ensuring compliance to FAA/EASA regulations and in line with OEM MPDs, and in so doing delivering efficient high quality work with safety being their uncompromising priority. Collaborate with the Director Quality & Safety and his Training Specialist to establish On-The-Job Training Programs (OJT) for maintenance personnel and coordinate participation in training programs as appropriate. Also important is to ensure that all documentation is completed and signed-off accurately and with integrity in a timely manner. EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED. Holds a current mechanic certificate with Airframe Rating, and has held this ratings for at least 3 years. EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of diversified maintenance experience on large aircraft with an Air Carrier, Commercial Operator or Certified Repair Station, and must have acted as an A&P Mechanic.
