Distinguishing Characteristics of Work This is skilled work of a Journeyman's level, which involves repair, and maintenance of motorized equipment. Under general supervision performs mechanical repair on motorized gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and related equipment. Job Details Miami, FL Full Time A&P License AnyDescription The Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic reports to the Manager of Maintenance and is responsible for the safe, precise, and efficient performance of all assigned sheet metal repair and fabrication tasks. The primary focus of this position is to perform structural repairs and modifications on company aircraft while ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and manufacturer specifications. Although not a supervisory role, the Sheetmetal Mechanic may be required to lead specific tasks or assist in inspections when needed. Responsibilities and Duties Perform structural repairs, modifications, and Sheetmetal fabrication in accordance with the company's General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Inspect, repair, and replace sheet metal components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Accurately complete all required forms and documentation related to assigned tasks. Operate and maintain sheet metal tools and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage. Inspect aircraft structures for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage, and recommend corrective actions. Handle all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft with care during repair and fabrication processes.
