Job purpose Alpine Air is currently seeking full time A&P Mechanics to join the crew at the Cheyenne, Wyoming location. Candidates must meet our high standard of excellence for safety, resource management skills, and customer relations. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude. Duties and responsibilities The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
Preventative maintenance of aircraft
Line maintenance and repair
Scheduled inspection of aircraft
Replacing worn or damaged components, including turbine engine changes
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, including repairs involving aircraft sheet metal
Qualifications Qualifications include:
Must have A & P License
Must have 2 years' experience as an A&P, with recent turboprop aircraft
Preference given to Beech 1900 or King Air experience
Knowledgeable of basic fixed wing aircraft maintenance
Ability to locate and follow maintenance manual directions and component manuals
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word

Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Compensation This position is a Full-Time position, 35-40 hours per week. * Perform skilled journeyman industrial facility and equipment maintenance work involving welding, operating cranes, rigging, pipefitting, machining, and troubleshooting, repairing, and installing heavy industrial equipment, such as power plant turbines, generators, governors, penstocks, spillways, intakes, outlet works, and other structures, as well as elevators, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
* Fabricate, repair, and/or maintain industrial machinery parts requiring tolerances to +-.0005.
* Prepare, cut, thread, bend, weld, and install air, water, gas, oil, hydraulic, and refrigeration piping in powerplant dam and other structures.
* Perform hydroelectric powerplant operations including starting, stopping, switching, hazardous energy control, and load/voltage control.
* Operate and use a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, forklifts, motorized man-lifts, a variety of cranes, and light trucks.
* Responsible for complying with safety instructions and regulations, ensuring individual's safety and promptly reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents to the supervisor.
Physical Effort: Exerts moderately heavy physical effort which includes lifting and carrying items weighing 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. Climbing ladders and stairs, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, or bending for long periods of time may be required in performing duties. Duties may also involve working from suspended scaffolding and motorized man-lifts at substantial heights and working in closed restricted quarters and confined spaces.
Working Conditions: The work in accomplished in and around dams, power plants, and related facilities with exposure to high levels of noise, moving parts, hazardous materials, and electrical hazards. This is a journey-level Plant Mechanic position and is an occupation for which a 4-year (8,000) apprenticeship program has been established between the Bureau of Reclamation, UC Region, and the Department of Labor. Applicants should have completed a formal apprentice program directly related to industrial machinery and equipment; or possess journey-level industrial facility experience supplemented by formal training and college level/technical course work (military or technical trade schools) or extensive on-the-job training which demonstrates knowledge of the application of industrial maintenance practices required for welding, operating cranes, rigging, pipefitting and troubleshooting, repairing and installing heavy industrial equipment.
You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities
A Plant Mechanic is a Journeyman Mechanic who is responsible for installing and maintaining structural or mechanical equipment at the plant including fired and unfired pressure vessels, turbines, pumps, pulverizers and piping systems. Daily interfacing with basic thermodynamics, hydraulics and blue print reading. Tasks may include but not limited to connecting compression fittings, removal and replacement of thermocouple assemblies and minor operation of equipment.
Requirements
* High School diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent.
* Minimum one year Mechanic experience, (preferred experience in a power or chemical plant), OR completion of college level associate degree in related field of study; OR completion of an apprenticeship or other equivalent training that resulted in certification at the Journeyman level.
* Must be able to perform critical alignments on all rotating equipment using roto-align equipment. Includes pumps, fan and gearboxes.
* Must be able to weld low pressure, carbon steel pipe up to 6" in diameter.
* Must be able to install bearings, mechanicals seals, packing, and rebuild pumps, valves, and gearboxes.
* Must understand and utilize mathematical calculations for rigging purposes when lifting equipment.
* Must understand coal handling equipment and maintain coal belts and associated equipment.
* Must be able to perform machine shop work using a lathe, drill press, boring bar, etc.
* Must pass a Mechanic exam.
* Must pass a pre-employment physical exam.
* Must be able to work in power plant conditions and meet the physical demands as noted below.- Must have a positive team attitude when working with other team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a wide range of skilled operations from cleaning, disassembly, diagnosis, reassembly and testing in support of branch operations.
Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles components utilizing drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions.
Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, calipers, pressure gauges, oxy acetylene welding equipment, hydraulic test stand(s), solder iron, heat gun, vise, solder pot, hydraulic hose crimper, arbor press, band saws, and automatic wire strippers.
Cleans parts prior to use, as required.
Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence.
Identifies fitting types and plumbing sizes: NPT, SAE, JIC, Metrics
Supports inventory handling and inventory transactions following established material procedures for purchasing, use, and customer invoicing.
Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members.
Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety regulations and considerations, especially related to the safe use of hydraulics.
Assists with identification of parts and bills of material as needed.
Completes all required paperwork; prepares and maintains records of customer and supplier correspondence.
Performs clean-up, and tool inventory activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Aircraft Cabinet Technician is responsible for building and refurbishing custom aircraft cabinetry. Duties & Responsibilities
Regularly meets with Cabinet Lead technician to understand the scope of work to be completed or fabricated
Repairs and replaces old and/or damaged wood according to customer specification
Removes cabinets from aircraft and transport to shop
Disassembles cabinets, removing all parts; packaging and labeling parts for identification
Fabricates new cabinets, doors, tables, and wood trim, working from blueprints, drawings or specifications, and utilizing required materials/tools such as table saw, band saw, routers, sanders, and various other hand and power tools
Repairs of broken hinges, latches, doors, etc. utilizing hand and power tools
Fits, mounts, installs, and assembles of aircraft cabinets and/or doors
Removes Formica or veneer from existing cabinets prior to refinishing
Covers new and old cabinets with Formica or wood veneer as needed per finish instructions
Qualifications & Job Requirements
A minimum of four (4) years' experience in aviation cabinetry or other related field / custom cabinetry shop experience preferred
Reads and interprets manuals, diagrams, blueprints and work orders
Possesses tools necessary to perform job
Ability to fill out work order/required paperwork
Ability to complete assigned tasks in reasonable amount of time
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
