CBA - Aircraft Mechanic - Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL) - Patuxent River, MD Job Details/Description

This requisition is only for incumbent (current) employees of the Program that are interested in the position with Precise Systems, Inc. when the program transitions. This requisition is for onboarding and rebadging purposes only. The actual Job Description and Qualifications will be validated IAW the respective CBA prior to the contract start date. Required SkillsRequired Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in aircraft maintenance, phase inspections, C or D checks, and/or line maintenance
• Experience in maintaining aircraft system components may be considered
• Aviation maintenance or military aviation experience preferred
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and shop equipment for maintenance and or/manufacturing
• Ability to identify, remove, and install common aircraft components
• Knowledge of aircraft hardware, materials, and processes
• Recommended to have common hand tools for maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and absolute integrity

The employee will be in the vicinity of site-specific chemicals and materials subjecting the employee to possible injury from contact or exposure. Proper personal protective equipment and attire should be worn.

This position performs functions or is immediately available to perform functions that are considered safety sensitive for the purpose of maintenance or preventive maintenance as defined by 14 CFR 121. Therefore, employment and continued employment with the company is conditioned upon full compliance with the company's Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program as required by 14 CFR Part 120, 135, 145 and 49 CFR Part 40.

**Description:** Job duties require that this mechanic: Will perform assembly and fitting of detail parts, assemblies, structures and varied drilling and riveting operations\. Safely perform sheet\-metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft and non\-aircraft assemblies and sub\-assemblies under general supervision\. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and government specifications, sign\-offs, and quality specifications\. Follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants and solvents\. Safely operate shop equipment such as: riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet\-metal functions\. Use the proper hardware for various sheet\-metal applications\. Comply with all safety, 6S, and housekeeping policies\. Use personal protective equipment as required\.
**Basic Qualifications:**

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings\.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines\.

Basic computer skills\.

Experience working as part of a team\.
