Responsibilities
Position Summary
As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician, you will impact PSA Airlines' business growth by conducting aviation repairs and services that allow for operations to be on time. By executing maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards, you are ensuring safe and reliable flights.
Job Responsibilities
* Will perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the responsibility for work performed by themselves and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the Company's approved forms.
* Keep work areas clean. Return all equipment and tools to assigned areas. A&P Technicians will report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic in charge.
* Work will consist of and include any and all phases of repair and maintenance of aircraft with the aid of the employee's own tools, specialty tools provided by the Company, the use of test equipment, and Company-supplied technical manuals.
* In certain cases, and A&P Technician may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
* Will at the commencement of each repair or inspection initiate the proper documentation. Parts tags will include a complete description of the discrepancy on all removed parts. Determine if the work to be performed is a Required Inspection Item.
* Verifying, through proper documentation, that any part installed on any aircraft or component is approved for that aircraft or component and has been visually inspected and is free of damage or contamination.
* Assure that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner.
* Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic.

**Job Description**
As an Aircraft Structures Mechanic you will be performing sheet metal fabrication and structural modifications on CRJ aircraft. Most modifications are avionics and electrical upgrades to WIFI Systems, In-Seat Power, Entertainment Systems and more. Primary Aircraft support will be CRJ 700. This position will require extensive over-time and the ability to work 7-Days a week with minimal time off. Typical work weeks are 65 - 75+ hours a week. This positions is a 5+ month contract position with the opportunity to travel nationally after this initial project is completed. Additionally, our top contractors can be brought direct and can expect a yearly salary in the $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 range if they choose to join our client's modification team full time.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate, re-work, repair and remove and replace sheet metal / structural parts and assemblies suck as brackets, shelving, hinges, etc.
+ Perform In-Seat Power, Wi-Fi, ACARS & FMS upgrade kit installations on various aircraft types.
+ Follow aircraft manufacturer manuals, Engineering Drawings, FAR's, and Company policies.
+ Ensure all installations are performed with safety and high standards in mind.
+ Work as part of the Travel Road Team for continual long-term assignments at various airline maintenance bases.

As a Mechanic, you'll repair and overhaul gas turbine engine components.
What you'll do:
Sets up and operates a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremels, vibro-peen tools, drills, presses, low temperature ovens, pullers and hand grinders to perform various operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking, and braze application.
Fits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
Complete check in process - reviewing documentation
Identifying the status of the engine component and determine if any outstanding modification or airworthiness directive need to be incorporated
De-stack/disassemble engine components and/or accessories
Record and take measurements while dismantling, document with pictures as required
Prepare parts to get cleaned and repaired, clean parts as required
Balance as required
Inspects the parts determining if they are able to be repaired or replaced
Route repairable parts to appropriate area
Place order for parts required
Ensures all parts required are ready and available for assembly of the engine or component
Assemble engine components and/or assemblies
Final release process - checking product for compliance
Uses manuals and technical specifications to determine proper operating conditions
Reads technical specifications to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies
Verifying the conformance of parts to manuals and technical data
Position Requirements
Mechanical and/or aviation experience/aptitude preferred
Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Mechanic I
Routine induction/ dismantle of engines components
Thorough Inspection of basic parts
Understanding of parts and when they need to be fixed or replaced
Kit and assemble engine components
Read and understand manuals and technical data, knowledge to find and follow instructions
