Description: Applies a combination of experience to perform the modification of the T-6A aircraft to install the Automated Backup Oxygen System. Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. As an Aircraft Mechanic II, the candidate will be responsible for performing a diverse range of maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing tasks on various aircraft components, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. The role involves working with complex systems and components, including engines, propeller systems, and control systems, across multiple platforms. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engine and Component Maintenance: Assist with and, when applicable, independently perform complex engine removals, dis-assembly, assembly, installation, repair, and testing for various engine types and their associated components, ensuring compliance with all technical and safety standards. Utilize reverse dial indicator alignment procedures on all types of shaft alignments and use a variety of precision measuring devices to conform with specified dimensions. * Utilize CFC and HCFC refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment; maintain records; perform all service and maintenance repairs in accordance with current EPA regulations. * Carry out additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
