As a field technician, you will join our team of technicians, based within a 120-minute drive from the Teterboro, NJ airport or the Bradley airport in Windsor Locks, CT area, supporting aviation customers and aircraft manufacturers. You must be able to pass a required eye exam, lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and travel domestically and/or internationally up to 100%. The Aircraft Technician is responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third party aircraft and components in accordance with laid down procedures and regulations. Description Summary: Maintenance Technician 1's main objective is to support the company by performing maintenance on Jet Linx managed aircraft. Along with performing the duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician 1, they will support with all tasks assigned by the Director of Maintenance, National Maintenance Director and the Base Maintenance Manager. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft and related systems and components. Conduct basic troubleshooting to identify root cause and appropriate corrective action to diagnose or avert equipment problems. Provide inspection of work performed on Company managed aircraft maintained under a Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), Aircraft Availability Improvement Plan (AAIP), and Company and Regulatory manuals and/or requirements. Coordinate with the Base Maintenance Manager to ensure maintenance records, company reports, and return to service documents are completed and retained in each specific aircraft maintenance records books. Coordinate with the Base Maintenance Manager in planning, scheduling, and performing line maintenance. Support request from Maintenance Control Center and Base Maintenance Manager for company aircraft at or near the technician's base location. Responsible for the setup of all packaging line equipment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly. Perform repairs to packaging line equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the packaging lines by minimizing downtime due to equipment failures. Perform changeover of all packaging line equipment. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance on all packaging line equipment. Train operators on the correct use of all packaging equipment. Ensure that any unused packaging equipment is stored in designated storage areas. Perform general upkeep and minor repairs for the packaging department(s). Perform in process inspections while the equipment is running, fill weight, label accuracy etc. Perform general housekeeping duties. Provide support to the Maintenance team when needed.
