Position Requirements:
This position requires at least four years of experience working on aircrafts with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The candidate will receive limited supervision with few instructions for routine work and general instructions on new activities or special assignments. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees.

GMRE is currently recruiting for an Electrical Aircraft Technician (2 positions available). This position is day shift and is eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards while traveling. Candidates will travel approximately 50% between Ogden, UT and Oklahoma City, OK. Candidate must live in one of the two home cities and will be paid per diem while traveling.
The Electrical Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test support equipment.
Operationally checks all systems, sub-systems, and associated line replaceable unit (LRU) removal and installation.
Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment.
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives.
Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience in aircraft maintenance as an electrician.
Must have experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires, shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.

* Responsible for the accurate interpretation of numerous manufacturer drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and test procedures, to troubleshoot, calibrate, align and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment.
* Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts and aligns down sized powered support equipment.
* Uses a variety of sophisticated testers, such as analyzers, digital meters, oscilloscopes and other measuring devices to determine repair requirements.
* Corrects unusual maintenance problems, by interpreting a variety of technical data such as tables, charts, formulas, color codes, wiring diagrams, and schematic symbols.
* Does circuit analyses, considers integrated circuit relationships, and applies electronic principles in order to fault-isolate and repair the various digital devices contained in highly complex powered support equipment.
* Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and adjustments on complex rotary diesel engines.
* Must independently determine work sequences, specifications, and special procedures to be used to fault-isolate and repair unusual problems in various pieces of powered support equipment.
* Performs intermediate-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE.
* Engine rebuilding such as removal and replacement of crankshafts, pistons, and other integral parts.
* Replaces, checks and adjusts valves, bearings, cams, clutches, bushings, springs, armatures, pushrods, exhaust manifolds, tubing, hose and defective wiring.
* Diagnoses gas turbine malfunctions, using visual and auditory senses, test equipment and applicable technical publications; makes repairs, removes, disassembles and assembles components and sub-systems.
* Troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, modifies and operates aerospace ground equipment such as AC and DC power generators, various types of internal combustion engines, air compressors, blowers, hydraulic test stands, cabin leakage testers, portable diesel engine driven generators, emergency lighting units, de-icers, heaters, load banks, hydrostatic testers, cryogenic carts, decontamination units, thermal bath, vacuum pumps, flow meters, lavatory service trailers, air conditioners and various pieces of non-powered AGE.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the hospital's boiler and/or chiller systems. This includes performing water treatment on boilers, steam systems, chillers, and cooling towers, as well as maintaining and preparing these systems for inspections.
+ Performs or assists in boiler and chiller teardown and major maintenance.
+ Assists in winterizing chillers and cooling towers, troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC digital and pneumatic controls, and ensuring the cleanliness of their working area and assigned locations.
+ Can effectively communicate with staff at all levels and prioritize their workload to manage their time effectively with minimal supervision.
+ Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of timekeeping documentation.
+ Has a working knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling equipment, and other terminal HVAC devices.

**Qualifications**
+ Experience as a door and access technician, electrical worker, HVAC technician, plant operator, or plumber.
+ Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for.
+ A valid driver license may be required for this position.
+ Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
+ The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
