How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta's fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience. AMTs maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components and avionics systems according to Delta and FAA specifications; perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components; document maintenance procedures including component damage, origin, and condition; and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): + Performs all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others. + Inspects aircraft or aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear to ensure airworthiness. + Recommends replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection. + Reports issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel, as required. + Installs, removes, or modifies aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. + Repairs worn, defective, or damaged parts or components (e.g., damaged gaskets, lines and couplings, cables, and pulleys), using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. + Inspects completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures, and that aircraft are ready for operation. + Interprets discrepancies or logs (written or verbal) to understand history and nature of issue, to troubleshoot issue, and to identify required next steps (e.g., fix, defer, replace). + Researches, reads, and interprets technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities. + Reviews maintenance records to determine if service and maintenance checks, repairs, and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals. + Maintains repair logs, documenting all preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance activities. + Serves as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and corrective recommendations to others. + Uses computers, computer systems, and other technology to enter, document, access, receive, or communicate information. Description :Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures. Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels. Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure. Cross trains in inspection and becomes SIA qualified. Sealer - Seal parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies fillet and fay, apply leveling compound or scotch cast etc. Pressure / Vacuum Test - Perform visual and auditory leak checks in aircraft sections Precision Bench Assembly - Assemble precision aircraft parts and assemblies such as landing gear, control linkage etc. Sub-Assembly - Assemble parts to make sub assemblies using templates, jigs, and fixtures Assembly / Installation Structures - Assemble structural parts, assemblies, and skins to make larger assemblies Assembly / Installation Doors - Pre- assemble, trim, fit , rig , seal, align, and adjust aircraft door systems Integral Fuel Cell - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and wing section components Inspection - Inspect and document non conformances on final assemblies, subassemblies, systems, and installations Verifies dimensions of parts using both mechanical and electronic measurement tools and, relative to these inspection duties, initiate and document corrective action for programming issues and other problems Setup and operate conventional and Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) fastening equipment, similar to Multi-Task Gantry Riveter's (MTGR's), Brotje's , C-Frames, IPAC's etc., to assemble components in accordance with engineering specifications Requirements: WORKERS MUST BE ABLE TO START ASAP! Job DescriptionSalary: $32-$40 DOE Rainier Asphalt & Concrete: Fleet & Equipment Systems Mechanic Tacoma Rainier Asphalt & Construction is seeking a highly skilled Fleet & Equipment Systems Specialistwho is skilled at inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, trailers, and equipment related to the asphalt and paving industry. Items include dump trucks, 1-ton diesel flatbeds, various pickups and smaller gas vehicles, air brake trailers, electric brake trailers, pavers, rollers, air compressors, skid steers, hydraulic skid steer attachments, and various small engine items. The successful applicant will have experience or can-do attitude necessary for repairing and managing the aforementioned items, and in particular, a great attention to detail for record keeping. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Diagnosis:Inspects equipment to identify problems, often using computerized tools and diagnostic software. Repair and Replacement:Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand and power tools, and may consult service/operating manuals and wiring diagrams. Maintenance:Performs routine maintenance like cleaning, lubricating, and other various preventative maintenance tasks. Testing and Adjustment:Tests repaired equipment and makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality for crew members. Record Keeping:Highly organized. Accurately maintains digital records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory. Travel and Field Work:Majority of work will occur either on job sites or in the equipment yard to ensure continuity for operations. Specialized Repairs:required from time to time.
