Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. State Ride Inspector Certified within one year. Training provided. 2 to 4 years of mechanical experience. Industrial, auto or amusement setting experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic mechanical principles such as gear ratios, torque, proper use of common hand tools, common mechanical nomenclature, etc. Familiarity with common types of bearings, bushings, couplers, shafting and similar power transmission components. Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamental principles of either pneumatic systems or hydraulic systems; preferably both. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Ability to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 300 feet above ground. Must have a valid PA driver's license.

Your Impact The focus of the maintenance team is to keep equipment in the RDC fully operational. The RDC Maintenance Mechanic I is a knowledgeable repair person with exposure to and experience with RDC systems and building components. The Maintenance Mechanic I has specialist knowledge and complex repair capability in one of the following areas: conveyors, rolling stock, or building. In addition, the individual in this role has general knowledge and basic repair capability in the other two areas outside his/her specialty. In all instances, the Maintenance Mechanic I has sufficient electrical and mechanical knowledge to safely and independently repair equipment in the RDC. Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance. Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices for various types of aircraft. Strong understanding of aviation regulations, including FAA/EASA requirements and industry standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Additional Requirements Maintain A&P certification through continuing education and recurrent training. Be available for occasional on-call and after-hours maintenance needs. Pass a background check and a pre-employment background check. Comply with company and FAA alcohol and drug policies. Primary Responsibilities Perform aircraft pre and post flight inspections to ensure airworthiness. Perform required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections. Ensure aircraft comply with all F.A.A. regulations and safety standards. Perform aircraft ground handling and fueling duties as required. Perform major aircraft alterations and refurbishments. Monitor parts, supplies, component repair and overhaul, and fuel inventory to ensure continued availability of aircraft. Qualifications This position requires an Airframe and Power Plant license issued by the F.A.A. This certification requires classroom instruction time equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
