A&P Technicians are responsible for the Maintenance Manager within the repair station. In addition, the A&P Technician is responsible for:
Assuring that shop equipment and tools used are in a serviceable working condition, and that required checks and calibrations have been accomplished on special tools and test equipment prior to use.
Ascertaining that necessary maintenance entries on maintenance forms and work orders for the assigned work function have been properly executed.
Maintaining the premises of the repair station in a clean and orderly manner.
Maintaining high-quality work in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations.
Observing the safety precautions relevant to any operation in the maintenance department.
Using required technical data (in accordance with the latest revisions) on all aircraft parts and components, and tooling, for the maintenance accomplished.
Assuring the proper handling of all parts while in the repair process and when the work is completed.
Maintaining the preservation of all units or parts during the work process, installation, and storage.
Will notify the Maintenance Manager of any discrepancies or un-airworthiness found during maintenance operations.
Will comply with all AD's, Service Bulletins, Advisory Circulars, EO's and sign for his or her work performed.
🧠 QUALIFICATION:
The A&P Technician must be:
Able to understand, read, and write English.
Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations in 14 CFR Part 145 and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performed
Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected.
Each A&P Technician is authorized to approve an article for return to service under the repair station certificate and operations specifications must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.

Minimum Qualifications

The Satellite Airframe Technician travels to the customer's location to inspect, test, adjust, repair and perform general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe / avionics systems and components on a variety of airframes across the United States and internationally according to manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures and the customer's specifications. Essential Job Functions
* Performs inspections, servicing and repairs of the most complicated nature on airframe / avionics systems and components on a variety of airframes in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with no rework and a superior level of quality, craftsmanship and efficiency. Makes sound technical decisions as a technician and when functioning as Qualified Inspector (QI). Coordinates and ensures the completion of customer log book entries for work performed on a customer's aircraft.
* Assists with developing and maintaining relationships with area customers, communicating with sales and marketing teams, and maintaining the Company's customer database (CRM) to seek and solicit service opportunities. Responds to customer requests and issues regarding airframe and/or avionics service work.
* Accepts full ownership of assigned projects, prioritizing and communicating with customers, Company personnel, OEM's, outside contractors and vendors, as necessary. Ensures the safety and security of customer's equipment during all maintenance phases.
* Assists with managing and maintaining adequate and appropriate parts inventory, calibration of assigned tooling, working condition and cleanliness of support vehicles and office / shop spaces.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.
