This position works as an A&P mechanic team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston aircraft. Essential roles and responsibilities of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician: * Troubleshoot and repair aircraft to Sun Country Airlines standards. * Correctly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraft. * Enter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAX. * Identify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operations. * Communicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance procedures. * Maintain an up-to-date OJT file. * Assist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessary. * Accomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as required. * Move and park aircraft as operations warrant. * Move and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operation. * Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines. * SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. SPECIALIZED AIRCRAFT IS OUR SPECIALTY The Air Force employs hundreds of tactical aircraft to complete our missions, including fighters, strike-fighters and attack planes. It's the responsibility of Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialists to ensure that every component of these high-performance aircraft is maintained to the most exacting standards. These experts ensure that the aircraft in their care are ready to fly at a moment's notice so that pilots can safely and effectively complete their mission. REQUIREMENTS You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.Minimum Education You must be 17-42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score. *High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.
