Responsibilities Inspect: Examine aircraft parts for defects such as cracks or corrosion. This includes wings, propellers, tails, engines, and other components. Diagnose: Identify mechanical or electrical problems and malfunctions. Repair: Use hand and power tools to repair or replace defective parts, such as brakes, wings, and electrical systems. Test: Use gauges and other diagnostic equipment to test aircraft parts. Maintain: Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance. Log: Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and tests performed. These records may be requested by aviation authorities or maintenance teams. Organize: Keep equipment and supplies organized.
