Perform minor rework and maintain tool control in accordance with procedures. Maintain personal and tool certifications and seek assistance from supervisors when necessary. Set up tools and equipment for drilling and fastener installation in complex structures. Operate various hand and machine tools, monitoring equipment functionality and performing routine maintenance. Coordinate the movement and preparation of materials and tools for tasks. Cut, file, drill, and assemble parts, ensuring proper fitting and quality standards. Conduct reaming, riveting, and sealing operations, applying corrosion inhibitors as needed. Utilize calibrated tools to verify work against specifications and ensure quality. Manage equipment and materials within the work cell to ensure efficient workflow. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards: Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants. Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. Schedule: Full-time | On-site We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Silverdale, WA. The Forklift Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks (2,000-70,000 lb. capacity), and other MHE. Dismantle and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications and Navy standards. Inspect and repair electric, diesel, propane, or gasoline-powered MHE and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical systems. Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed. Research and identify replacement parts for order. The CBP Aircraft Mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
