The essential functions of this position are to perform skilled preventive repair and maintenance of stationary equipment and machinery in a wastewater treatment facility. A 9/80 schedule is offered consisting of Monday through Thursday (6:30am-4:00pm) and working Friday (6:30am-3:00pm). After hour, overtime, and weekend callbacks will sometimes be required. This position works as an A&P mechanic team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston aircraft. The successful A&P aviation mechanic candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. Technicians will also possess the ability to dynamically move through a computerized logbook management system, adhere to the maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and make safety-focused decisions on a day-to-day basis.
We need an A&P mechanic that can fit in quickly, have a positive attitude, and have General Aviation experience working on piston powered aircraft; preferably Cessna and Piper.
Responsibilities
Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies
Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries
Follow all policies and procedures
Keep a clean and orderly work environment
Perform job duties in a safe manner
Perform other duties as assigned
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
2 or more years of piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience
Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals
Possess adequate tools

As a Lead your main focus will be centered on leading a team of technicians to produce timely results that are of the highest quality and accuracy. You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
* Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks. This includes using good judgement in handling day-to-day tasks, and knowing when to involve your manager
* Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift
* Look for opportunities (within your area of responsibility) to reduce turn time of aircraft
* Help to train/mentor those technicians assigned to your projects
* Supervise team members in daily work load.
* Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects as assigned. Schedule and work quality are essential in these functions, as is showing excellent drive and initiative.
* Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components, repair work and sheet metal repair or installation.
* Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
* Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
* Aircraft movement, performance runs and taxiing when required.
* Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
* Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
* Willing to travel 25% of your time (both foreign and domestic)
* Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
* Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
What you'll need to bring with you:
Your Education
A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required. A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory. Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
Your Experience
5+ year's prior experience aircraft maintenance to include involvement in supervision of four or more team members. An advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders and use of Corridor systems.
