Airefco started doing business in 1957 with Carrier franchised territories in Oregon, Western Washington, and Alaska.
1957 Airefco, Inc. is an independently owned wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment, as well as a complete line of parts and supplies to support the HVAC market.
1971 In 1971, Airefco was purchased by John O. Hussa and a new era of growth began.
In 1982, Airefco acquired the Spokane area Carrier franchise and expanded its sales territory to include Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Montana, and Northern Wyoming.
In June of 1994, John became the Chief Executive Officer and JK earned the title and role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Airefco.
1999 In July of 1999, Airefco acquired the assets of Nor-Air, Inc., which had been distributing the Bryant line of equipment in the Portland franchise territory for over 30 years.
In 2003, the Company was awarded the Bryant distribution rights in Southern Oregon and parts of Northern California culminating a 20-year process of having the same Carrier and Bryant franchised territories of distribution for Airefco.
2006 In January of 2006, John passed away and JK became Chief Executive Officer, as well as continuing in his role as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company.
2010 In October of 2010, the Company discontinued using the Hadco Supply and Nor-Air names and began using only Airefco, Inc. in all areas of the business.
