Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) job duties range from preventive maintenance to repairs. A technician makes routine inspections and repairs, documents inspections and repairs, performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and runs tests after making repairs or performing maintenance on our fleet of Embraer-145 regional jets. Maintenance may include - but is not limited to - engines, landing gear, exteriors, brakes and pumps.

Minimum Qualifications:

* FAA airframe and powerplant licenses
* At least 18 years of age
* High school diploma or GED
* Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous background and/or experience in mechanical operations

Work Environment:

* Use of computers and other office equipment
* Airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
* All shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
* Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance from co-workers or tools

Job Description:

TSC has immediate openings for Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) IA Mechanics at locations in the Western and Central Pacific. Missions are planned and flown in accordance with air tasking orders received. TSC will provide required training for the mission and aircraft operations. The A&P Mechanic is responsible for maintaining continuous airworthiness of a King Air 200 and other duties as assigned. The A&P Mechanic conducts pre-flight and post-flight inspections and maintenance, as well as routine maintenance and inspections. Willingness and ability to participate in planning, construction, logistics, and other non-aviation activities in support of the deployment are essential components of this position. Position requires three to six month rotational assignments, or longer by mutual agreement. TSC provides transportation and a generous meals and lodging allowance.

Responsibilities

  • Typical maintenance operations such as removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torqueing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring, including flight control removal/installation in accordance with TSC Maintenance SOP, Manufacturer / OEM approved data
  • Troubleshoot, repair, clean, service, inspect, modify, replace, overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems using approved data to ensure airworthiness
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing of payload systems
  • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish each specific task
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Develop work plans and meet schedule estimates
  • Follow all safety procedures and specifications
  • Complete all required paperwork, maintain proficient records of non-routine repairs
  • Use and operate all equipment in a safe manner
  • Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no re-work
  • Assist team members in the performance of operations that are required for the mission
  • Interface effectively with management and team members
  • Be flexible with schedule, working nights and weekends when the job requires

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Airframe and Powerplant certificate with Inspection Authorization
  • Five years of aircraft maintenance experience on Part 23 and Part 91 category aircraft
  • Avionics experience
  • Beech 200 Super King Air experience desirable

* Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command pandemic restriction requirements for deployed locations, including current Covid Vaccination
* Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
* Deployment will be 90 (min deployed)/90 home base rotation schedule out of Duke Field with some TDY travel
* Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required

Preferred:

* FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
* Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
