Build, train, and maintain a team of nuclear maintenance professionals able to meet these demands within guidelines and regulations that apply to the maintenance of a nuclear generation facility. Job Responsibilities
Provides supervision and direction to personnel performing I&C and Electrical maintenance and repairs to station equipment.
Provides guidance to the process of building a work schedule as it relates to their assigned systems and available resources (during Inage and Outage periods).
Provides assistance to the planning process when work tasks are identified for their assigned team.
Works with various other associated departments to make task completion and schedule success a reality.
Assigns work to qualified nuclear maintenance personnel in accordance with applicable training directives and guidelines
Monitors and assesses work progression as necessary to assure good work quality and personnel safety are maintained.
Works with Technical Support and Engineering staff to solve various problems that are beyond the scope of the maintenance team.
Reviews all work for compliance with station directives and guidelines to ensure QA, Post Maintenance Testing, Mod and procedural requirements have been met prior to returning equipment to service.
Conducts weekly tam meetings to discuss current safety topics and work/team-related items of importance.
Provides feedback to OPS, Work Control and Maintenance Coordinators to keep them informed on work progression and completion times.
Maintains accurate payroll accounts to include compliance with NSD 200 Work Hour Extension.
Maintains a safe, productive and motivated well-trained maintenance staff through performance management and employee development and training.
Establishes and communicates performance standards for assigned maintenance team.
Conducts annual APA interviews to include periodic feedback sessions to communicate employee progress.
Counsels' employees on substandard performance including implementing and conducting performance improvement plans when necessary.
Provides opportunities for on-the-job training when work schedule permits.
Evaluates team needs and recommends formal training in areas where a deficiency exists.
Keeps management informed on manpower needs and excesses.
Observes formal training to assess the quality of trainer/trainee participation and provides written feedback.

Position Description
Geronimo Power is seeking a Solar and BESS PlantManager to join our team. The PlantManager will manage the onsite day to day direction for the safe and reliable operation of the 270 MW solar facility 180 MW BESS facility near Waco, TX. The PlantManager is responsible for leading a safe, high performing operations team of Field Technicians. Responsibilities of this position include development and compliance with an operating budget, outage coordination and scheduling with the interconnect entity, oversight of operations and maintenance to ensure work is carried out using Prudent Utility Practices. The role will encompass setting and achieving business area goals that align with the overall company goals and metrics which focus on safety, reliability and fiscal responsibility. The PlantManager will report to the Regional Director, Field Operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure the solar/BESS plant provides maximum availability/reliability in a safe, economical, and proactive manner by providing direction and supervision to operations personnel.
Ensure strict management and compliance of all company and project environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs.
Communicate regularly with various departments: environmental health & safety, engineering, asset management, and other personnel to ensure satisfaction of internal/external customer requirements.
Hiring key personnel, establish training, work and safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and other critical areas required as part of self-performance of operations and maintenance.
Perform staffing activities, counseling, coaching, training, and corrective actions of subordinate employees. Prepare performance evaluations per company instructions and guidelines.
Manage site environmental permits and site vegetation management strategy
Assist team with NERC compliance and other regulatory requirements as determined.
Assist in preparing annual budget for the site and maintain operating expenses within.
Participate in and promote job/work package safety analysis, job site safety observations, audits, safety meetings, safety training, and injury/event assessment.
Manage day to day activities of the site completing all scheduled preventative work in a timely manner and performing corrective maintenance.
Tracking all activities at site and ensure documentation is filed as needed, specifically withing the company's computerized maintenance management system
Ensure execution of work schedule by planning day to day activities and coordinating outages.
Oversee plant performance and assist with troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and warranty activities/claims of all equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' requirements.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports which include but are not limited to, project status, plant statistics, expenses, and adherence to contractual requirements.
Assist with performing QA/QC of the project while still in the construction phase and ensure successful transition from construction to operations.
Participate/lead in the development and revision of site procedures ensuring input from subject matter experts.
Set up site for proper tooling, inventory, spare parts, and other equipment necessary to perform efficiently and effectively.
Administer warranties. Submit and track warranty claims. Track all on loan parts and reconcile with appropriate parties
Manage implementation of capital improvement programs, retrofits and operations initiatives.
Participate in root cause analysis and present findings to cross-functional teams, including executive management.
Manage inventory and work with suppliers on parts reorder, perform cycle counts of inventory.
Occasional travel to other plants or locations to support maintenance, troubleshooting, retrofits support other campaigns or for training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Four-year college degree or technical school certificate; or 5 years of related experience or power industry training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in electrical facility operations and maintenance including a minimum of 5 years' experience in a broad range of renewable or other power generation development, design, permitting, construction, or operations. Experience within the renewable industry and specifically solar is preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience leading a direct team or group of employees and ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Advanced computer skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control, management and reporting systems, including the use of computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
Ability to work in extremely adverse weather conditions.
