Read gauges or meters and records quantity loaded. Record amount delivered and issues ticket to customer. Conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including driver logs. Inspect truck before and after trips. Submits report indicating truck condition. Read "Bill of Lading" to determine assignment. Responsible for re-fueling truck, checking oil and all fluids. Maintains truck interior. Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions. Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility. Ability to lift and move up to 50-70 lbs. Able to climb up and down tank ladder as needed. Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles . Well-groomed professional appearance. The driver will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours per day. Approximately 80 percent of the driver's time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point. Duties include, but are not limited to: Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck. Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. 4pm - 4am 4 days a week + the option for overtime Delivering to Gettysburg and HanoverFull Time work with benefits and PTORequirementsHigh school education or equivalent experience1 year of transport driving experience preferred Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation Valid CDL Class A with Tank and Hazmat endorsements21 years of age according to DOT requirements Able to pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol test Physically able to drive a commercial vehicle and sit for extended periods of time Able to climb ladders Able to lift, pull, and/or push 75 pounds Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and on call as scheduled ResponsibilitiesPerform a pre and post-trip vehicle inspections according to procedure Complete all required paperwork to include pre-trip and post trip inspection forms daily Enter and log all driving data into the on-board computer Check all orders for proper equipment, directions, BOL's and tickets for the correct product Verify tank(s) and product type before unloading the product from the trailer Check all tanks for water and notate on delivery ticket Make the required gravity drop or pump deliveries at the customers' establishments in a safe and professional manner Stick tanks before and after delivery and document on customer's ticket and/or BOLKeep a clean vehicle at all times and ensure that equipment is properly stored and serviced Be friendly and courteous to all customers while operating the vehicle and follow the rules of the road Complete all DOT, safety, and other training as required Perform all duties in a safe manner ensuring incident-free operations Report any incident or accident immediately to the Transport Dispatcher or General Manager of Transportation OperationsReport any unsafe problems, conditions, or practices to the Transport Dispatcher or General Manager of Transportation OperationsReport to work on time and in approved uniform as scheduled Send in all roadside inspections or citations to the Manager of Transportation Operations within 24 hours of the inspection or citation

• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service • Loads, secures and unloads cargo • Maintains contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up <br/> • Maintain customer relations while on route <br/> • Lifting 25-50lbs at a time while loading and unloading trucks <br/> • Use of handheld device to track inventory and client relations <br/> Qualifications <br/> • 1 year of CDLA Driving experience <br/> .
