    The Plant Manager is responsible for managing the activities of workers engaged in producing and repackaging of compressed and liquid gases into cylinders, oversight for all phases of distribution, correcting unsafe acts or conditions without delay, and assigning job tasks to workers according to customer needs, current stock levels and workers' expertise. In particular, you will: Operates and safely maintains the plant for pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance. Studies production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establishes and/or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Modifies working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed and safety training is regularly scheduled, conducted and documented. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. Ensures all injuries and accidents are properly investigated and reported within 24 hours. Analyzes and resolves, or assists workers in solving, work related problems. Recommends and/or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Ensures associate issues, grievances, etc. are effectively handled. Manages and leads subordinate supervisors to provide leadership. Initiate and/or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals. Provides coaching and corrective action promptly, to ensure that poor performers are identified, documented and improved to acceptable performance, or released. Trains new workers and cross trains associates to continue production during personnel shortages. Maintains time and production records and approves overtime when essential, while keeping overtime at acceptable levels. A total of five (5) years of industry experience to include a minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience working in a supervisory/leadership role. Prefer prior experience with compressed/packaged gases. Prior experience utilizing SAP preferred. Ability to use Google and/or MS Office Applications Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of how to leverage metrics and related tools to improve production efficiency and effectiveness. Detail oriented with the ability to complete handwritten compliance documentation neatly and accurately. Demonstrated dedication to product quality and customer satisfaction. External support, digital and technical, will be provided to this key Plant Manager onsite to ensure KPIs are met; the successful candidate will lead and direct a team of up to 10 operators and maintenance personnel and ultimately be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency, while proactively preventing KPI breaches. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Lead the 24/7 operations of the central utility plant, including chilled water systems, boilers, and emergency backup systems (for the central energy plant only) Ensure compliance with performance-based service level agreements (SLA's) tied to flow, temperature and uptime Monitor and report on KPIs. Vendor Coordination : Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for equipment repairs, upgrades, and service agreements. Reporting : Provide regular reports to hospital administration on plant performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status. Work Environment: The role involves working in a hospital utility plant environment, which may include exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and confined spaces. On-call availability is required for emergencies, with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work as needed. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, facilities management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and other utility systems. Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and drive performance improvements. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and make decisions under pressure to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with hospital staff, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
