What we're looking for Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered. Master's degree is preferred. 5+ years of experience in DSP development, with applications in media, film, or entertainment industries. Strong knowledge of digital signal processing principles, including analog and digital filtering, audio effects, spectral and spatial analysis/synthesis, perceptual audio coding, parametric audio coding and dynamics processing. The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $117,100 to $156,900 per year. Internship Description American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are hiring a Process Engineer Intern for to work while attending school. We are looking for Process Engineer Intern. This person will be eager to learn and grow within the organization and work onsite at our plant in Simpsonville, SC. The Process Engineer will work alongside experienced process technicians to learn and develop the skills needed to safely and efficiently set-up, operate and troubleshoot injection molds, injection molding presses, and injection molding processes. Duties include any auxiliary functions needed to keep the area running safely and efficiently including running production. Responsibilities: Mix, blend, purge, and load raw material into presses for production runs Set-up, clean, and prepare molds for upcoming production runs Set molds into presses and connect water and/or electrical hook-ups to the machine Load correct program and adjust machine settings to produce parts to spec while ensuring the machine is running at peak efficiency Trouble shoot the molding operation throughout the production run Run production as needed Work with operators, supervisory personnel, Engineering and Quality as needed to produce any needed components Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives Requirements Requirements Pursing studies in Process Engineering, Technical or trade school studying plastics/injection molding Desire to work with injection molding a plus Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 to 10 hours per day Must be able to occasionally lift up-to 70 pounds Must be able to look at small parts for extended periods of time Will require flexibility regarding shifts. Job Description We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Manufacturing engineer to lead the manufacturing and assembly of cutting-edge turbomachinery that will be utilized to build Thermal01. This role is critical to establishing robust manufacturing capabilities, including equipment layout, process development, vendor selection, tooling selection, and workflow designs. We are a team that values first-principles thinking, hands-on problem solving, and close cross-functional collaboration to deliver cohesive, high-performance systems. Responsibilities Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop manufacturing/build strategies and provide critical DFM/DFA feedback Create and maintain detailed process documentation: work instructions, setup sheets, torque specs, assembly BOMs, SOPs etc. Support engineers and technicians through hardware development, prototype builds and test campaigns. Partner with supply chain to procure engineered hardware, manage vendors, and contribute to program cost optimization. Design, develop, and manufacture ground support equipment that interfaces directly with Thermal01 Lead facility layout development, including defining build cells, flow-of-material, test areas, equipment placement, and future scaling scenarios. Specify and procure tooling, fixturing, and gaging systems for both manufacturing and assembly processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing areas, applying lean principles and ergonomic practices. Lead manufacturing readiness reviews. Required Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of industry experience in aerospace, defense, industrial or high-reliability industries. Deep experience with machining, 3D printing, welding/brazing, rotating equipment assembly, or high-pressure thermal systems. Strong understanding of GD&T, machining tolerances, and mechanical fit/function principles. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in large integrated structures, thermal systems, turbomachinery, propulsion or power generation. Expertise in successfully taking products through development, testing, and production Familiarity with implementation of ERP/MES systems. Hands-on experience with running CNC equipment (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma) and common shop tools. Proven experience setting up or reconfiguring a facility. Experience with tool and fixture design. Role level to be determined during interview process Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
