Monitor and maintain accurate records of repairs through "Facility Dude" software including preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.

Ensure productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained.
Responsible for the reliability of maintenance equipment.
Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers.

The Fleet Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of our fleet of sweeper trucks and other vehicles, as well as thorough documentation of services performed, and communication with shift managers regarding problems and repairs. Our fleet currently consists of 13 sweeper trucks, 2 heavier duty construction sweepers, 2 dump trucks, 9 pickup trucks, 3 trailers, a bucket lift, pressure cleaner, and a bobcat. Our sweeper trucks are mostly Isuzu cab-overs, though we have a few GMC trucks as well. Our pickup trucks are mostly Chevrolet. No experience with sweepers is necessary (training for maintenance of sweepers will be provided).
The base schedule is 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
This is a driving position. Applicants must have an active driver license and a clean driving record to be considered for this position.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a positive attitude and general mechanical experience. Experience with diesel mechanics and hydraulic systems preferred.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
Perform various other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic math skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members

The manager is responsible for preparing the “Maintenance Daily Work Schedule.” The duties will be prioritized according to the order in which the manager wants the work performed. The maintenance person is to pick up the work schedule at the beginning of each shift.
Maintenance employees should maintain an attractive property. All litter should be picked up, and the parking lot should be swept up and free of trash. Maintenance is responsible for weeding and watering shrubs, plants and flowers in landscaped areas. All plants, shrubs, etc., are to be watered every other day in the summer when it does not rain. The qualifications of the maintenance person will determine to what extent they are involved in maintenance work to the buildings and rooms. Proper use of safety equipment should be reviewed with employees periodically. Caution should always be used in operating power tools, mowers, clippers and when using chemicals, paint, drain cleaners, etc.

Provides data for maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintenance Mechanic Required Experience
Experience in maintenance mechanic or similar role.
Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills.
Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
Have basic workbench and computer skills.
Basic knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC & SLC and motor control circuits.
Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books.
Repair knowledge of pumps, compressors, gear boxes and blowers.
Maintenance Mechanic Physical Demands and Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to read applicable instructions.
