As a provider of care to all patients, we provide high quality, accessible care to our community's most vulnerable patients. HWC offers full scope Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatric primary care. HWC is known for offering individual and group medical visits. HWC also provides specialty care including cardiology, dermatology, optometry, nephrology, rheumatology, pulmonology, immunology, and general surgery clinics. We are supported by on-site lab, pharmacological services, behavioral health therapy, and case management. We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Medical Director to join our team at Hayward Wellness Center. This position would work closely with on-site operational and nursing leaders. 1. Develops, reviews, and/or conducts personnel management for relevant physicians and APPs, in concert with Department Chair.
2. Recommends and assists with development of new services and clinical programs at respective site.
3. With respective Chairs, participates in recruitment of clinical physicians and APPs at respective sites.
4. With ACMO of Ambulatory and respective Department Chair, ensures adequate clinical access to services; this includes evaluating and ensuring provider-level productivity, including clinic templates and empanelment, monitoring access standards, and ensuring compliance with state and federal benchmarks, and ensuring adequate coverage for provider leave & absences.
5. Ensures the overall quality of care provided at the clinical site including adherence to best practices, AHS policies & procedures, and achieving publicly reported and system quality metric.
6. Maintains an active clinical practice in one of the specialty areas that the individual is overseeing.
7. Leads quality improvement at both the local and Ambulatory system level, including acting as specific metric champions for the Ambulatory system.
8. Responsible for provider engagement at the site and patient experience.
9. Serves on AHS medical and administrative committees as requested.
10. Advises and supports local managers and supervisors to assure excellent medical services, patient experience, and quality of care.
11. Collaborates with operations, nursing, and physician leaders across the system in support of outpatient primary and specialty care at the clinic sites.
12. May hire, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff (physicians, APPs, dentists, and optometrists etc.) in the respective departments in conjunction with their department chiefs and/or chairs; escalates concerns to their supervisors.
13. Partners with practice manager in annual budget process and capital expenditure process.
14. Acts as local physician administrator for their site, such as for audits, clinical laboratory licensing, responding to patient feedback, and vaccine programs.
15. Manages scheduling, logistics, and trainings of direct reports.
16. Advocates for well-being of direct reports.
17. Provides direct patient care within their clinical specialty.
18. Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Required Education: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic school.
Required Experience: Three years of clinical leadership/managerial experience in hospital/clinic/healthcare administration.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid License to practice medicine in the State of California; certification by a specialty Board.
Pay Range: $101.53 - $169.22 / Hour

**What You Will Do**

+ Serves on community forums and tasks forces representing the hospital system in the arena of public access and community needs. **What You Will Do**
The Clinical Nutrition Manager plans, coordinates, and manages the work operations of the clinical nutrition staff. Primary responsibilities include assigning work to and supervising clinical dietitians and nutrition and dietetics technicians; establishing and maintaining policies, standards, and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective patient care; monitoring clinical dietetic performance for safety, efficacy, and evidence-based practice; establishing a framework to collect and publish clinical outcomes research; implementing and maintaining cost control procedures; participating in the budget process and meeting budget targets; recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff; interacting with hospital management and professional staff; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice
**Required Qualifications**
