Job Summary: Under close supervision, the Radiologic Technologist (Multi-Modality) performs a variety of duties in the Department of Radiology/ Imaging Services of Alameda Health System related to general Radiography/Fluoroscopy. Performs various diagnostic imaging examinations of patients as directed for diagnostic and treatment purposes according to established procedures. Performs related duties as required.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
Assists Physician in administering opaque media (contrast)
Rotates assignments within the department by assigned shifts as required to meet departmental needs
Processes Images as appropriate for Modality (CR/DR/Film) and is proficient in utilizing the PACS system (Picture Archival Communications)
Maintains adequate records of examinations/dose/contrast as directed, and appropriately utilizing two patient identifier with each patient exam
Assists with movement of patients (rooming/transport)
Assists in the development/optimization of technical factors for radiographic procedures
May assist in equipment or procedures not routinely taught in school
May assist in the training of students
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with designate areas or procedures as required
Performs all general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties as determined by employer.
Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of environment and supplies
Ensure utilization of non expired supplies by checking stock regularly and using "first in first out" rule of re stocking
Produces Radiographs, positions and transfers patients, and provides immobilization devices as necessary to obtain images
Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
Ensure utilizing techniques that promote ALARA on an individual patient basis (As Low as Reasonably Achieved) for radiation exposure
Selects and operates all imaging equipment as directed and licensed to perform.

• Prepares and dispenses medications at any station in the pharmacy including the mediset area. Follows all procedures identified to properly dispense medications depending on the station with the pharmacy

Conducts monthly pharmacy technician/Medication Management Navigator meetings for the positive exchange of information and/or potential problems.
Interviews and hires staff.
Coordinates activities to support a system for sharing staff, thereby increasing productivity.
Coordinating and integrating interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.
Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided.
OPERATION:
Serves as a resource to the team, providing direction for issue/problem resolution and responding timely to escalated issues.
Develops and implements standard work, processes, and workflows to ensure effective and efficient operations while soliciting feedback from staff.
Leads continuous improvement efforts using Lean or other process improvement methods and concepts, and implements approved recommendations.
Implements and enforces adherence to department, entity, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies, and TJC standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Ensures maintenance of appropriate records and the level of supplies.
Promotes efficient, effective communication between departments to improve and standardize workflows.
Collaborates with others to coordinate services, streamline workflow, standardize procedures, and/or drive positive outcomes.
Identifies areas of non-compliance or vulnerability, developing, recommending, and implementing corrective action plans to address or minimize risk.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
OR Met Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician
PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant Experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy.
Knowledge of basic dosing information. Basic arithmetic and algebra.
Computer literate in the Microsoft Windows environment with a moderate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards, including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
