FUNCTION/POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs a combination of the following tasks: receive, ship and/or store component parts and materials for manufacturing operations. Uses production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. May be assigned to one particular work center or various work centers. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: * Assembles orders, fills requisitions, work orders, etc., and moves and/or distributes materials to shipping dept., trucks, or production. * Performs material receiving functions. Identifies, records, labels and places materials into stock. Follows-up with appropriate paperwork including purchase orders and RMA's. * Marks materials with identifying information using RF Barcode labels, paint per or other marking devices. * Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed by processing issues, transfers, receipts or sales orders. Key transactions into RF handheld or desk top computer. * Ships whole goods/parts to destination and/or moves within production area. Packages and labels materials. May operate shipping company software systems. * Required to operate forklift. * Accurately records work order information and inventory transactions. * Uses computer to access information or verify data. * May load and transport materials using company vehicle. May pickup and deliver parts/supplies from local vendors. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: High school diploma or GED required. * One to six months of previous material handling experience. * Ability to operate a forklift and hoist safely. * Basic math skills and computer data entry skills. * Must be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance. * Good communication skills, both verbal and written. * High school diploma or GED required. * Able to work overtime to meet production deadlines. Able to work under pressure. * Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes. Uses hand tools, power wrenches, gauges, and power tools, to perform operations on the assembly line ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Sets up job by locating parts and correct job numbers. Installs hydraulic and electrical components. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, spaced clips, rivets, cotter pins or other fasteners using hand tools and portable power pneumatic tools (i.e. impact wrench). Determines components to be used on actual products maintaining efficiency and cost effectiveness. Works closely with purchasing to source materials and/or vendors. Structures an accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for each electrical system or harness drawing completed. Provides customer service and/or technical service regarding questions of products or designs. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):** Proficient on AutoCAD, Visio, or Solid Works 2D software program. Familiar with common tools of the trade, i.e. multimeter, O-scope, power supplies, embedded programming interfaces, crimp tools, and soldering tools. Able to read and technically interpret engineering drawings. Able to read and understand technical manuals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to write or speak technical instructions. **Education and Experience:** A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering **Working Conditions:** Manufacturing setting.
