Alamo Heights Independent School District company history timeline

1923

In 1923, just one year after the high school building was added to the growing campus, the Alamo Heights system became an independent school district of 300 students.

1938

The present athletic stadium was built in 1938 by the Work Projects Administration.

1951

In 1951 Jean became the leader of the rodeo band, playing annually for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo at the joe Freeman Coliseum.

1999

He held this position for 43 years until 1999 - the year of his last performance.
