A caregiver who excels in this role will:

About this Role
FiberTel is looking for an HDD Operator for our Albuquerque, NM location.
A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
Locate for Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities.
Operate Horizontal Directional Drill
Assist in potholing and remediation.
Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins.
Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates.
Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine.
Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions.

This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. What you'll do:
Drive test vehicles which may be across multiple states, collecting data on multi-day missions and facilitating the transfer of data back to Latitude.
Operate on a 6-day, up to 60-hour workweek schedule, working 3 weeks on followed by 1 week off. Airfare will be provided for travel to and from a location.
Perform daily start-up, system engagement/disengagement, and shutdown procedures for development vehicles.
Actively monitor and troubleshoot both software and hardware systems while on the road.
Execute data collection in accordance with strict safety and compliance protocols.

What you'll need to succeed:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience required. Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence and ability to meet Latitude AI's minimum driving record requirements, as verified by Motor Vehicle Record background checks prior to hire and periodically thereafter.
Must have an active passport or passport card.
Ability to pass ten-panel drug screening and criminal background checks conducted prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
Comfortable spending long hours driving and working in close quarters with others, maintaining professionalism and focus.
Strong interest in technology, adapting quickly to challenges and embracing changes.

This role is responsible for facilitating departmental and organizational communication during operating and non-operating hours, handling both emergency and non-emergency operations. Responsibilities
Communication and Coordination
Operates two-way radio system, answering calls to "Security" or “Dispatch” from employees during and after regular operating hours and contacting appropriate individuals by radio, phone, or email as needed.
Contacts internal and external emergency personnel as needed via a two-way radio system and phone and effectively dispatches to the correct location.
Accurately responds to and records information from incoming telephone and radio calls.
Assists and communicates with other Security staff on duty when special situations arise (e.g., special events, after-hours deliveries, Animal wellness).
Monitoring and Reporting
Operates access control system and maintains an accurate log of all personnel gaining access.
Operates and monitors security cameras and reports unusual activities to Security Management.
Enters and distributes incident, injury, and crash reports utilizing the Security Reports database.
Completes and maintains daily dispatch logs, incident reports, worker's compensation documents, community service time sheets, first aid documents, Security management daily brief, and any other required paperwork.
Emergency Response and Safety
Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of and actively participates in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and able to pass a semi-annual test on the ERP.
Demonstrates a calm professional composure during emergencies and stressful situations.
Attends to any employees or guests that are injured until medical personnel arrive using trained CPR, ERT, and AED CZFP practices.
Always maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
Administrative and Support Duties
Creates Year-Round and Seasonal Employee and Volunteer ID cards and accurately records the information.
Assists Safety and Security Management with clerical support duties as needed.
Constantly strives to further the mission of the organization and avidly supports the Columbus Zoo Family of Parks.
