Job Description
The Flame Retardant (FR) Applications and Customer Technical Service Director role involves managing flame retardant applications research and development activities including technical service for new and existing customers, support of new product development programs, and product advocacy and regulatory affairs technical support. The position leads a team of applications scientists and chemical technical professionals that are focused on flame retardants. Approximately 50% of the team have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant technical field, and the other approximately 50% are chemical technical professionals with primary job responsibilities focused on executing studies in the lab.
This position reports to the VP, Applications and Customer Technical Service & Global Analytical and is located at our Process Development Center Site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
What You Will Do
Lead the FR Applications and Customer Technical Service group; maintaining a highly engaged team and ensuring that needs of the Enterprise are met.
Ensure that innovation projects are appropriately staffed to meet project timelines, milestones, and priorities.
Be a thought and practice leader for laboratory safety.
Ensure that FR Customer Technical Service needs of the Enterprise are met.
Ensure that technical support needs for FR product advocacy and regulatory affairs are met.
What You Bring
Required:
Graduate degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Deep technical knowledge of Chemistry and ability to fluidly discuss complex Chemistry concepts with experts both internally and externally.
At least 7 years of industry experience with at least 2 years of those in an administrative leadership position.
At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
Experience leading technical teams.
At least 2 years of experience managing complex research laboratories and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
Experience in the extrusion, compounding, molding and testing of plastics.
Ability to successfully lead a team to achieve positive outcomes on short duration projects while continuing to progress longer duration projects in parallel.
Proven project/program management experience.
Ability to travel to customer sites or for other meetings.
Preferred:
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of industry experience with at least 3 years of those in an administrative leadership position.
Knowledgeable about FR codes and standards.
Direct experience in the formulation of flame retardants in organic polymers to meet FR codes and standards.
Experience in the preparation and testing of printed circuit boards.
Experience in formulating and testing plastics for wire and cable applications.
Significant experience and understanding of Materials Science of organic polymers.

The Health, Safety, and Environment Site Lead for Research and Technology role involves providing comprehensive leadership for the Lab Safety Program at our Baton Rouge Site. The role involves interfacing with individual contributors, managers, Site and Corporate HS&E and Site Leadership. Educational Requirements
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
Individuals who are currently enrolled in high school or college or have graduated or received a GED within the last two years will be required to provide official transcripts/GED scores prior to being invited to an onsite interview.
Must have completed Algebra or Technical Math and Science coursework in High School, per graduation requirements. Completion of Chemistry and / or Physics coursework in High School is preferred.
After an offer of employment, but prior to date of hire, must complete college entrance exams / assessments at the community college to be attended. Must not be required to take any remedial or transitional coursework.
If already enrolled in the degree program related to the field you applied for or have credits that would transfer toward it, individual must have no less than 2 full semesters remaining toward the applicable degree.

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions is seeking candidates for exciting and rewarding Apprenticeship opportunities available at our facilities in Plaquemine, LA or Hahnville, LA within the U.S.
Apprenticeship Program.
As part of the U.S. Apprenticeship Program, Apprentices participate in a 2-3 year program offering hands-on work experience in our chemical plants while attending community college to earn a company-paid Associate's degree. During the program, Apprentices will be offered paid tuition, wages, and some benefits. Upon successful completion of the program, Apprentices will have earned an Associate's Degree in one of several technical disciplines. Apprentices will report to an Apprenticeship Program Leader who will support the Apprentice throughout the apprenticeship program. Apprentices who successfully complete the program will also be highly considered for a job within the company.
Individuals selected to fill an available Apprentice opening will be required to sign an offer letter that will commit them to working for Dow for 2 years upon being offered a full-time position.
The hourly rate of pay for this role will be at least $25.38. The exact pay rate will be communicated if you are chosen to receive an offer of employment. The hourly pay rate is set by the Company and is non-negotiable.

Process Technician
Process Technicians operate equipment in assigned areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process. They utilize chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
Primary Responsibilities and Key Skills
Routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates, and transfer of products.
Controlling, monitoring and adjustment of all control systems and manually operated equipment.
Properly lifting hoses, bolt flanges and operate valves and similar equipment including the proper clearing and isolation of equipment.
Following operating discipline, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties.

Interim Event Support:
Assist manufacturing facilities with SME support for unplanned outages that require specific and special knowledge for corrective measures to be successful.
Utilize the Corporate TA groups knowledge of network professionals that have experience within impromptu outage scope and organize/facilitate communication as required during the event with all personnel who can assist by communication or onsite support.
Successful candidates will have:

The Senior Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist (ULS CAS) is accountable to provide technical and clinical product support to health care providers including Electrophysiology (EP) physicians, Interventional Cardiologists (IC) and laboratory staff for electrophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic catheters and systems - with an emphasis on the AcuNav and SOUNDSTAR catheters - to enable practitioners to perform advanced cardiac ablation and interventional procedures respectively.

As the Senior Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist, you will:
* Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to EP/IC physicians and staff on the effective use of AcuNav and SOUNDSTAR catheters in EP and IC procedures.
* Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the effective use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO System and appropriate software modules including CARTOSOUND , CARTOMERGE and the Stockert RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals.
* Educate customers on all electrophysiology products to optimize effective usage by providing technical and clinical information and in-service training. Shares best practices to increase value for customers.

What role you will play in our team
* The Multi-Skill Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations within facilities & on the right of way. The Technician will have on call emergency responsibilities, with the rotating on call responsibility of weekend/after-hours call outs. The Technician may be required to provide relief to other Technicians in their work area. Shifts vary by location and are often ten or twelve hours in duration.
