Identifies health trends, problems, and resource needs in the community and assures their consideration in strategic planning, quality improvement, performance management, policymaking and program development. Monitors rural, city, and county health trends, youth substance use, and mental health indicators to identify disparities and support prevention strategies. Participates in quality improvement projects and strategic work plans. Works within the incident command structure during emergencies. Participates in strategic and emergency planning, quality improvement, and accreditation documentation and activities. Ensures accreditation requirements are met. Provides data insights and presentations for coalitions, schools, and community groups to inform decision-making and community prevention strategies. Serves as part of incident command during emergencies. Participates in department-wide strategic activities. * Requires a Bachelor's degree. Desired fields of study include Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Informatics, Social Sciences or a closely related degree. * Requires one year's experience in Data Analysis: Analyzing complex data sets using various statistical methods and tools to identify trends, patterns, and relationships related to public health issues. Proficiency in using statistical software packages (e.g. Statistical Analysis System, Power BI or Statistical Package for the Social Sciences and data visualization tools. Knowledge of program evaluation techniques and their application in assessing public health interventions, policies, and initiatives. * SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires immunizations or proof of immunity to certain infectious diseases, and a TB test. This position works in a typical office environment using a computer, keyboard and related software. Occasional travel may be required. May require attending meetings or working outside of the normal business hours.
