Albin Marine company history timeline

1900

At the beginning of the last century, around 1900, the Swede Erik Larsson (already at the age of 16) starts designing combustion engines.

1956

1956: Larsson Trade AB is founded, boat trading (no production)

1966

1966: Albin Marin AB is founded for serial production of Albin boats (at first sailboats including the famous Albin Vega, later also motorboats) to increase the sales market of Albin engines.

1969

1969: Founding of 1st subsidiary Albin Nederland NV (under the direction of Mr.

1973

Of the 2,000 Albin 25s built, many are still doing sterling service, including the 1973 Kie-Lou, whose owners are satisfied they went for something Scandinavian and practical.

1973: Albin Marin AB is sold to a Swedish beer brewing company (Pribo); increase in production and new-build large factory are planned.

1980

1980: After the bankruptcy of Albin Motor AB, Albin Nederland NV continues the sale of engines and parts (Albin Motor Componenta still exists)

1996

1996: Albin Nederland NV ends its activities; Mr.

2005

In 2005 Albin Pump AB starts to produce innovative pumps for today’s industries.

2017

Albin Pump Marine was developed as a natural step in the Albin Pump family 2017.

2020

In 2020 Albin Group and Albin Group Marine were established with our brands Albinus and Albinex.
