BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Perform general duty law enforcement and engage in the protection of life and property throughout Carlton County. Apprehend criminals, prevent crime, serve civil process, enforce state and local laws, and promote public safety. Prepare written reports and required documentation utilizing prescribed processes and technology.
Present evidence and truthful testimony in court.

Maintain, process and dispose of forfeited property and currency.
Represent the Sheriff's Office at a variety of local, regional and statewide committees and meetings as assigned.
Create and store digital evidence such as photographs, video recordings and voice recordings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of post-secondary formal preparation/training/education in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related field.
