The Public Benefits Specialist will have the opportunity to work directly with clients across the organization to provide access to public benefits that they may be eligible for. This includes but is not limited to: SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI/SSDI, SOAR, General Assistance, TANF, WIC, LIHEAP, childcare assistance through CYFD, and Unemployment Insurance. The Public Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for creating and providing training to other AHCH staff on public benefits practices. AHCH currently has an exciting opportunity for a Community Support Worker (CSW) who will work primarily in our new Medical Respite facility at the Gateway Center located at 5400 Gibson SE in Albuquerque. This position will also, on occasion, work at our 1217 1st St location downtown and will be dual certified as a Community Health Worker (CHW) to best meet the needs of the Respite clients. Our ideal candidate is someone with strong critical thinking skills, a client-centered mindset, and the ability to work well with diverse populations. Though there are no home visits associated with this CSW position, the candidate must be comfortable with transporting clients in our company vehicles. The caseload will vary dependent on need and can include up to 30 patients. Candidates must be able to complete documentation of encounters within 72 hours of the visit date. AHCH practices a harm reduction approach in all services and we seek candidates that embrace and uphold this philosophy and provide services within a trauma informed framework. We are a housing first, treat first organization that strives to remove as many barriers to health care and housing as possible. The Compliance & Risk Manager works collaboratively with leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments to proactively identify, mitigate, and monitor organizational risks. Survey Readiness • Ensure organizational readiness for HRSA operational site visits (OSV), accreditation surveys, and external audits. • Coordinate collection of documentation, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting. • Monitor changes in federal and state regulations and communicate impacts to leadership. • Responsible for maintaining the Compliatric portal in a manner that ensure regulatory compliance and data can be effectively and accurately extracted as needed for audit compliance and use by organization. HIPAA Privacy & Security • Serve as the organization's HIPAA Privacy Officer. • Develop, implement, and monitor HIPAA policies related to privacy, confidentiality, and security. • Conduct breach investigations, risk assessments, and required notifications. • Oversee workforce privacy and cybersecurity awareness training. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage. We are looking for an engaged and integrated Behavioral Health Therapist to provide individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health assessments. This person will focus on substance use disorders and other related disorders in collaboration with AHCH Behavioral Health and Medical Teams. The perfect candidate would have experience in treating a high-needs population with serious mental illness and emotional disturbance; we want someone who loves our population.
